Research On The Linear Heritage Protection Of The Yunnan Section Of The Southern Silk Road

For thousands of years,various cultural heritages have been left and glorious road cultures derived from Southwest Silk Road,a major business path in ancient Southwest region.Since the last century,due to the study of ancient business exchanges,the Silk Road and the Maritime Silk Road,he Southwest Silk Road has also been attracted attention by researchers and gradually been known.Although there are historical evidences that the Southwest Silk Road was excavated earlier than the Northern Silk Road,studies on South Silk Road are still weak so far.In recent years,linear heritage,as a new type of comprehensive and substantial heritage,has been paid more and more attention.As China is vast and rich in culture,it has a wealth of heritage resources which are linked to each other and constitute rich linear heritage resources due to trade,national integration and other historical origins.Even the linear heritage protection was researched late,it has made rapid progress and achieved affluent results in recent years.The inclusion of the Great Wall,Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal into the World Heritage List is a frontier representative of the study on linear heritage and provides follow-up domestic heritage research with experience and ideas.With the continuous research of the Silk Road,the exchange and development along the way which take place relying on cultural common have even brought unprecedented opportunities and challenges to the research on the protection of linear heritage along the road.Because Southwest Silk Road which has long line,large body and rich content is studied late,there are no matre researches on the overall protection of this line so far.As the physical basis and cultural carrier of the linear heritage,the cultural heritage along with the Southwest Silk Road is the basis for linear heritage protection and needs urgent attention and protection.Based on this,with the western Yunnan section of the Southwest Silk Road as an example,this thesis introduces firstly the concept of linear heritage in the Introduction,compares and distinguishes several inheritance projects which are similar to the linear heritage,and presents general outline of the road.The first chapter which is based on documents and field investigation explores the main heritages and their types in the linear heritage of the Southwest Silk Road and makes a study and evaluation on the historical value of the road,listing unique material cultural heritages and non-material cultural heritages in Chuxiong,Dali,and Baoshan,three major areas in west Yunnan section of the Southwest Silk Road to prove the historical value,the cultural value left,and the value for future research of the road protection.The second chapter sums up experience and reflection by reference to the excellent domestic and foreign linear heritages and cultural line protection examples.And the third chapter put forwards conceives and recommendations regarding the protection by combining with the actual situation and future trend.By reference to the archaeological materials and literatures relevant to the West Line of the Silk Road and on the basis of its partial cultural heritages,this thesis explores the linear heritage protection of the Southwest Silk Road to make a sustainable development and utilization of the tangible and intangible cultural heritage in the linear heritage protection and give a full play to the value of cultural heritage as far as possible.
