From the “colonial rule” of Japan for 50 years to the Taiwan society under the “authoritarian” rule of the Kuomintang,to the new era of political democracy and economic growth,the cultural development in the Taiwan region has also continued to change in the turbulent political ups and downs.Taiwanese children's movies have always been accompanied by Taiwan's political,economic,and cultural developments and changes in social emotions.Compared with children's films in the mainland,Taiwan's children's films show a more humanistic attitude of creation.The research of this thesis is based on Zhang Luzhi's "The History of Chinese Children's Films" and Han Jiazheng's "Nomadic and Homesickness: The Taiwanese Children's Film Creation and History Study from the Perspective of Affective History" based on the previous research results,combining Taiwan's social and historical background and the development of Taiwanese films.The overall overview of the Taiwanese children's movies from the early and the 1980 s is summarized and summed up,and the artistic features and contributions of Taiwanese children's movies presented during this period are discussed.The introduction of the paper defines the concepts of "children" and "children's movies",and the spatial regions studied are selected in Taiwan.The first chapter focuses on chronological order,from the children movie in the early stage,the children's movie in the 1980 s and the children's elements in the "new movie" movement,to Taiwanese children's movies in the 1990 s and beyond.The development profile is briefly reviewed.The second chapter mainly discusses the pluralism theme of children's movies in Taiwan.Through the expression of children's inner world in the modern predicament,it analyzes the deep relationships between children and adults,children and families,children and society and their enlightenment to the audience.The third chapter focuses on the artistic expression of Taiwanese children's movies.It discusses children's performances from "children's emotions" to "movie emotions",cartoon elements that match children's interests,and children's paintings that convey emotions.The fourth chapter compares Taiwanese children's movies with children's themed movies in other regions.It focuses on revealing the reference significance of children's movies in Taiwan to mainland children's movies,and further discusses Taiwanese children's movies and Iranian children's movies in terms of theme and narrative.The research in this paper seeks to provide experiences and lessons for the long-term development of children's films in the Mainland and in China.
