Research On The Expressive Language Of Clay In Modern Ceramic Art

Modern ceramic art appeared late in China,but it developed rapidly and attracted more and more attention.Clay is the carrier of ceramics and it has a powerful expression.It mainly includes its own response to external forces,its combination with glazes,its dependence on firing methods,and changes in its own composition.This article is based on the analysis of typical modern ceramic works in different countries,and further extends and expands the traditional surface texture techniques based on clay.Breaking traditional techniques,new materials are added to the clay so that after the completion of the firing,a new mechanism is presented.Attempts to restore a variety of performance languages,including some good ones,in the studio,explored more new texture decorative techniques,deepened the expression language of clay in modern ceramic art,and enriched the artistic expression of ceramic art works.In modern ceramic arts,there is still room for in-depth treatment of material ontology language.
