Driving decision-making-making is a process in which drivers identify potential traffic conflicts in different traffic scenarios, evaluate, choose, and generate driving behaviors.Driving decision-making-making process, especially the characteristics of decision-making-making and psychological processes are directly related to the road traffic safety, and improper driving decision-making-making easily lead to road traffic accidents.Deepening research on the psychological process of driving decision-making has positive meanings to reduce traffic accidents, and can be used as a psychological basis for training suggestions of driver decision-making abilities. On the basis of summarizing other researches on driving and driving decision-making-making,this paper divides driving decision-making-making into three stages: detection, assessment and execution of decision-making-making.The driver first detects potential dangers in traffic scenarios, then evaluates them, performs the decision-making,and produces driving behaviors. That is to say, speed of detecting potential traffic conflicts and speed and quality of the assessment will affect the driver's efficiency in responding to the dangers. Therefore, our study separately studied the three stages of driving decision-making and explored the effect of time pressure on the change of scene cognitive style in driving decision-making process.Study 1,Study 2,and Study all applied eye-movement technique and adopted 2 factors experimental design(time pressure: time pressure / no time pressure)× 2(scene area: central area / peripheral area).Hazard perception videos are used to test 60 drivers.Tobii120 recorded the eye movement data and effect of time pressure on the detection process, assessment process and decision-making execution process was discussed separately.Through three studies, our study systematically explored effect of time pressure on the change of scene cognitive style in driving decision-making process. The main conclusions are as follows:1,Time pressure prompted the driver to first take care the central area, faster detection to potential traffic dangers, and perform extensive search on road traffic scenarios2,under time pressure,Drivers pay constant attention to the information selectively and process the selected information more fully, which improves the driver's decision-making information process.3,the driver is more inclined to respond to the central region, implement faster under time pressure. The earlier the drivers identifies the potential hazards, the more likely they are to react to the central area, and Fixation Count and Fixation Duration on the road information can predict how long will spend to execute driving decision-making.
