The film is a special form of narration of society,history and culture.As a mass media,the image and narrative in the screen participate in the discourse practice of reproducing social reality and cultural / political changes.As a kind of film type,youth film has become one of the art classes of youth cultural narration since the new period of reform and opening to the outside world,especially after the success of the huge ticket room made in the two films of "the girls we chased together" in 2013 and "the youth we will eventually die",and the new period of youth is revived again.Another wave of youth movie since the start of the movie.There are no lack of the image and narrative expression of the silver screen in the history of Chinese film,but the combing and criticizing the "youth film" as a specific narrative category is relatively less.This article tries to start from the historical clue,cultural context and the symbolic matrix method of structuralist criticism to the new period of reform and opening up.In order to clarify the causes of the evolution of the youth film narration,the narrative characteristics and evolution of the Chinese youth film have been re read and the narrative features of the "youth film" are as a whole.The article holds that the Chinese mainland's youth films sprout in the early works of the "fourth generation directors",mature in the "new generation" director's works in 90 s.After a short downturn,the Chinese film "new power" has formed a new youth upsurge,especially in recent years,the youth film has become the Chinese power.One of the hottest movie types in the shadow market.Throughout the formation and development of the youth film,although the content and style of the story are different,the narrative strategy and the narrative theme in a specific period of time show a great convergence.The Chinese youth film,whether as an artistic aesthetic style or a movie narrative category,is the beginning of the new period of reform and opening up,and continues to this day,forming a clue to the evolution of the original text which is the direct cause of the later text.It is the connection between "front" and "post" that constitute the basic characteristics of Chinese youth movie as the art narrative text of the times.This article combines the development course of the youth film,the generation pedigree of the director and the narrative features of the related texts,and divides its development process into three stages ofthe times youth film(1978-1990),the cruel youth film(1990-2010),the nostalgic youth film(2010-2017),and three times to the youth film,respectively,with the layout of four chapters.The characteristics of the period,narrative strategy,narrative theme and diachronic process are studied.This article is divided into four parts,which are summarized as follows:The first chapter of the origin Chinese youth film reviews,and the related concept of youth film reviews,according to foreign countries such as Japan and the Hollywood youth film,according to the definition of domestic scholars and the audience of different age youth are defined,which can meet the concept of new era youth film content.The second chapter,the new period(1978-2017)is divided into three stages,the paper analyzes the evolution of the narrative strategy of the youth film in the new period,combining the three stages of the specific historical context.After the discussion,the narrative strategy experiences of the formation of the three periods are as follows: the obscured narration in the context of reform and opening up(1978-1990);the rebellious narrative in the post-modern context(1990-2010);the evolution process of the pattern narration in the context of consumption(2010-2017).The third chapter,the theory of structuralist narratology is introduced into the narrative theme of the youth film,and the narrative themes of the three periods of youth films are studied by Grey Maas' s symbolic matrix combined with the classic texts of the three periods:reenlightenment(1978-1990)-growth(1990-2010)-Nostalgia(2010-2017).The fourth chapter,On the basis of the characteristics of the narrative strategy and narrative theme of the youth film since the new period,this paper further analyzes the reasons for the formation of its evolution,mainly involving three aspects: the director(the creator),the foreign influence(the film trend of thought)and the culture(the creative context).In the direction of the director,the fourth generation director's "Republic feelings" and the intention to get rid of the "times accomplices" have created the masking meaning of the youth film of the times;the sixth generation directors' intention of overcoming "the father and the first generation" and completing their self identity constitute the rebellious narration of the Changqing spring film;the film "new force" Under the help of text adaptation and powerful fans,a new model of nostalgia youthmovie narrative is created.In terms of foreign influence,youth movie is influenced by Barzun's documentary aesthetics,Italy new realism,French new wave and Hollywood type movies.In the cultural aspect,the re enlightenment theme of the age youth film is realized by the tragic writing and the resonance of the national discourse;the growing youth film embodies the cruelty of youth through the indifference of "the other" to the marginalized people of the society,and shows the theme of the growth of the film;the nostalgia green spring film is the capital of the consumption context.The logic of logic is to cater to the illusory youth constructed by the main youth consumption group,and by misappropriating the "Carnival" of the young subculture vocabulary,the moderate irony of the mainstream culture is realized.During the dialogue with a specific historical context,the director constructed clues for the evolution of youth movie narrative.Finally,the logic of the full text is combed.At the same time,the evolution and causes of the narrative characteristics of the three stages of the youth film are summarized,and the cultural ideology features in the evolution of the narrative in the last 40 years of the last 40 years from1979 to 2017 are expressed.To a certain extent,the youth film is an important symbol to capture the times and cultural ideology.From it,it can image the intertextual representation of the narrative and the context of the times,and it is a ruler to measure the characteristics of the times.
