As one of the most highly regarded,controversial and influential critics in the contemporary intellectual community,As the Palestine-American critic,Edward W.Said(1935-2003)has been mainly involved since the early 1970s.The literary,cultural,and political fields have carried out the active,powerful and outstanding works in his researches.His critical thoughts have aroused great interest in the Western academic world and even the Middle East world,and has,to some extent,promoted the transformation and change of the theoretical field and knowledge paradigm.It depends on the theoretical considerations and critical practices of Said’s issues of Beginnings,Middle East politics,Orientalism,and(post)structuralism.Therefore,this paper attempts to use Said’s "secular criticism" as the object of study,trying to re-examine the behavior,thoughts and thoughts of Edward Said in his critical practice and personal achievements in the field of contemporary critical theories.Influence,this will prompt us to realize the importance of secular criticism in the study of Said,and the fundamental purpose is to recognize as much as possible its position and value in the genealogy of Said’s thoughts.In the main text,this article will conduct thematic analysis through the content research of the two chapters,mainly focusing on "The beginning:Intent and Method"(1975)and "The World·Text Critic"(1983),and the second chapter We will try to use textual analysis and study of version to explore how Edward Said’s earlier critical thinking was gradually formed in the study of the beginning of the structure,or in a broader sense:how could he be able to start learning about the beginning?(The Lore of Beginnings)constructs its own critical ideas;and in Chapter 3,we will further demonstrate the critical vision that Edward Said puts forward in "Beginning:Intentions and Methods",and why it took nearly 10 years to complete.The naming of "worldly criticism",what kind of criticism practice has the naming construction process gone through?Finally,in terms of some kind of harmonization,this article argues that instead of saying that secular criticism encountered an ethical dilemma when the historical dimension defended against the theory,it would rather say that secular criticism should treat the theory itself in a more inclusive manner Intrinsic history defense work.Based on the above studies,this article intends to use Habermas’s theoretical definition of the post-secular society as the theoretical basis,and to observe the post-secularist secularism and academic practice that has been fermented in the western academic circles since the new century,and to The results of his research serve as a reference for criticism,which tentatively proposes a possibility approach to Postsecular Criticism.In fact,the construction of the criticism in the post-secular sense has already been actively applied and exerted in the Western secular scholars.Some scholars have provided academic illustrations of the later secular criticism,and later secular imagination and afterwards.Studies on the relationship between colonialism,religion,and literature,etc.,which undoubtedly provide us with theoretical grounds for argumentation and legitimacy.
