Spatial memory have been researched a lot to discuss the spatial reference frames. However, for nested or hierarchical space, the conclusion about how people construct spatial reference frame is inconsistent. In this study,a virtual nested space has been programed by software 3Dmax and Unity to explore the representation of objects location in nested space. The effect of correspondence between internal and external space on the orientation of external objects was focused in nested space. This study includes two experiments. In experiment1,participants were asked to memory the locations of objects in nested space. Then Judgments of relative direction(imagine you are standing at X,facing Y,point to Z)were used to determine spatial reference directions in retrieval of bearings between 2 objects or 2 cities. Results showed that when the intersection angle between imagined headline and object(answer angle)was 0° or 180°,angle errors of judgments were minor than other imagined angles and the reaction times(RTs)were lower than others. It indicated that the when the imagined headline and object was parallel, the memory was better. In experiment2,participants were asked to memory a nested space same as experiemtl, then, participants locations were updated by rotating 90°.Finally,a judgement of objects location in external space was made. The participants were divided into three groups(control, correct and mislead)when made judgement. Results showed that when the sense of direction(SBSOD)was controlled, the angle error of correct group was minor than control group. There was no significant difference between mislead group and control group. When the sense of direction(SBSOD)was controlled, the RT of mislead group was minor than correct group. There was no significant difference between correct group and control group. These results indicated when the layout of internal space was presented correctly, participants reacted better. Conclusions:In nested space, participants represented external layout depending on the correspondence of objects locations between internal and external space. In nested space, when participants updated there location, the orientation of external objects was effected on the correspondence of objects locations between internal and external space. It can be inferred that participants construct a third reference frame in nested space which depends on the correspondence between internal objects locations and external objects locations, not internal advantaged reference frame, nor external advantaged reference frame.
