Nirvana is the core problem of Buddhism.Even to this day,The academia still has insufficient research on the specific connotation, characteristics and evolution of nirvana of early Buddhism.Nirvana has become the highest state of liberation for all schools in the age of Buddha. This paper believes that "the origin theory","the altruism theory",the theory of karma is the theoretical basis of the nirvana view of the Buddha. Its specific meaning refers to the elimination of sensual desire, greed, anger, the ignorance, then achieving the heart relief state of peace. The Buddha's Nirvana thought has the characteristics of being a release from self-conceptualization,and being attainable in the present life, and resulting in renunciation of the world. The supposition that the sopadhi-sera-nirvana and the nirupadhisesa-nirvana as being separate concepts was absent from Early Buddhism. The specific path to practice nirvana was mainly based on meditation, and the two main avenues being abstinence and visualization.Judging from the perspective of history of thought, the Buddha does not make a strict distinction between the nirvana of his life and the nirvana of death.Nor does the concept of the sopadhi-sesa-nirvana and the nirupadhisesa-nirvana.This has also been buried in the development of the thought of the Sectarian Buddhism,it having formed a new foundational development. The sectarian reinterprets the nirvana view of the Buddha, and has thus put forward the concept of the parinibbana and its characteristics of parinibbana "permanent" and "pleasure",The characteristics of nirvana in the period of sectarian Buddhism "Permanent" and "Pleasure" are still based on the nirvana characteristics of the early Buddhist no-self liberation. In addition, the development of the thought of nirvana is mainly centered on the concept of "sopadhi-sesa-nirvana" and"nirupadhisesa-nirvana".At the beginning, two kinds of nirvana are corresponding to two stages of practice.Later, the Sectarian Buddhism redefined the two kinds of nirvana,Its aim was to raise the Buddha and depreciate Arahant.Sarvastivada believed that the li'ving Arahant was sopadhi-sesa-nirvana,After death,nirupadhisesa-nirvana can be reached. The evolution of the two concept of nirvana is the reconciliation of the conflict between reality and theory.
