On The Creative Characteristics And Performance Techniques Of Chopin's "F Minor Ballad"

Chopin totally created 4 ballades with complex structure and tremendous momentum.Among them,the Ballade No.4 in f Minor Op.52 was the last one but also the one with the most complex structure,the most abundant emotional levels and the most technological difficulties,and it was also the master work of Chopin with the perfect combination of romantic theatricality and lyricism.With the Ballade No.4 in f Minor Op.52 of Chopin as the object f study,the range of study of this thesis was defined to be the noumenon analysis and detailed performance technique of the music Ballade No.4 in f Minor Op.52.2 fields of this work that had not been involved were mainly explored in this thesis,one was the research on dramatic plots of Ballade No.4 in f Minor Op.52 and creative features related to the music noumenon;the other was the comparison of differences among the 4 important performance versions of Ballade No.4 in f Minor Op.52,and the reasons of their occurrence were analyzed.This thesis consists of 3 parts,introduction,main body and conclusion.And the main body consists of 3 chapters.The explanation of the status of Ballade No.4 in f Minor Op.52 among the piano creations of Chopin was given in Chapter I,in which the creation career of Chopin and the creative period of Ballade No.4 in f Minor Op.52 were stated respectively.Explanation of the overall features of the 4 ballades of Chopin was given in Chapter II through the aspects including the mixed structure,the Polish folk materials and the tragedy color,and text analysis on the unique musical structure and tonality layout was made on the Ballade No.4 in f Minor Op.52,through research of the musical-form languages and innovative materials contained in Ballade No.4 in f Minor Op.52,the microstructure and creative features of this work were comprehensively learnt.Comparison of different performance versions of Ballade No.4 in f Minor Op.52 of Chopin were made in Chapter III,and detailed explanations were made on the fingering arrangements,abundant key-touching methods and the use of pedals contained in the performance.
