The Study Of Compatible Space In Calvino's Mid- And Late-stage Novels

As the most important Italian novelist of the 20 th century,Italo Calvino is devoted to exploring the infinite possibilities of narrative art forms in novels.His text is the fusion of reality and fantasy,the combination of literature and science,the juxtaposition of reason and feeling.This paper attempts to explore the characteristics of the construction of compatibility space in Calvino's novels from three aspects: real space,multivariate space and perceptual space.Chapter ?.Real space.The chapter discusses Calvino's empirical reflection of the state of society after World War II.The prevalence of consumerism and materialism and the deterioration of the natural environment brought Calvino an labyrinth reality.He shows the living conditions of modern people in the inert and opaque real world with light technique.Chapter ?.Pluralistic space.The chapter discusses Calvino's narrative about word games,limited and infinite dynamic open space.The infinite expansion of narrative space and the winding of various meanings make the text always in the process of reading,and form the game of difference between author and reader,reader and reader,character of works in the pluralistic space.Chapter ?.Perceptual space.The chapter analyzes the text experiment of Calvino's transition from rational narrative to sensory narrative.Through the writing of vision,hearing,taste and smell,the author tries to present the pluralistic appearance of the spiritual dilemma of modern people.The irrational "knowledge" of sensation is the literary experiment in which the author infiltrates the sensory experience with language and tries to describe philosophy.
