The Application Of Clay Sticks In Modern Ceramic Art Design

Coil method is relatively a mature one among the original ceramic plate forming processes,which embodies the plain,rough and natural beauty in the form of the original pottery.Through the concept analysis and case study,the thesis discusses the application value of coil method in the cultural context of Chinese modern ceramic art.The content mainly includes the following three aspects.First,the development and characteristics of coil method in modern ceramic art,and its correspondence with the concept modern ceramic art design.Second,the aesthetic reflection of the method in modern ceramic art whose Openness philosophy provides it with a broad performance space,especially on ceramic moulding and decorating.Third,the shape reflection and extensive use and future in the context.A case study shows the extensive use and artistic expression from all aspects.Through the study of the coil method in modern ceramic art context,the thesis aims to call for thinking highly of the traditional handicraft,to build a bridge between Chinese traditional ceramics culture and modern ceramic concepts,and to offer a new chance to our modern ceramic art development in hope of forming a Chinese-style cultural system.
