| The opera "Struggles in An Ancient City" is written by Meng Bing and composed by Zhang Zhuoya and Wang Zu.Wang Xiaoling wrote its lyrics.And director Hu Zongqi created it as a national opera reflecting the 60 th anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War.Since the performance of the opera,scholars have studied many characters in the opera "Struggles in An Ancient City",but the research data shows that there are many positive figures,and there are few studies on the image of the traitor Gao Ziping.The image of the traitor Gao Ziping in the play is characterized by a distinct musical image.The conflict between Gao Ziping’s rebellion and the characters in the play enriches the story plot and enhances the drama of the opera,so it is crucial to study Gao Ziping’s musical image.This thesis takes the creation content of the opera "Struggles in An Ancient City" as the research background,takes the main line of Gao Ziping’s love for Yinhuan given by the creator as the entry point,and takes Gao Ziping’s "Attraction","Today’s Wine I Drink Today"," "Dark Day Panic","What Is Faith" and "Walk With Me" singing segment analysis as the main content.Music analysis method is used to analyze the music body and singing processing of the five singing segments,and the way of the composer to portraing Gao Ziping’s personality characteristics and the performance of mental journey is summarized through music.The study finds that in the opera "Struggles in An Ancient City",Gao Ziping’s character image is not "reverse" from the beginning,but experiences the complex psychological process of "from love to jealousy,from jealousy to rebellion".It is hoped the grasp of the image of Gao Ziping can be improved and a high level of understanding of the whole opera can be formed through the analysis of Gao Ziping’s musical image. |
