An Analysis Of The Emotional Expression In The Creation Of Color-matching Woodcut Prints

Chinese woodcut has a long history of development,mature techniques and rich varieties,resulting in a large number of famous printmakers and works.Among the works of many famous printmakers,Chao Mei’s Northern September,Wang Huaxiang’s Guizhou People Series,Green Background,He Tao’s Wilderness,Ji Shicheng’s Fox Village,Su Xinping’s Laying Man and the Far-away White Horse,etc.,have a wide social impact.Artists show us their creative intentions and emotions with their unique concepts and techniques of expression.This article will start with the emotional analysis of the works of art,analyze the emotional expression in the creation of color-matched woodcut prints.After a brief introduction to color-matched woodcut prints,I will introduce several prints that have an impact on me.On this basis,based on my feelings and understanding of real life,I use the art form of oil-matched woodcut to create the Youth Series.The unique perspective tells the viewer about my youth perception,which is not lively,lively and hot,but full of uncertainty,sensitivity,confusion and loneliness.I hope the viewer can resonate with me through my works.It is also hoped that through the writing of this paper,we can have a better understanding of the emotional expression of color woodcut printmaking,and improve the printmaking creation and artistic aesthetics.
