Zhuxian Town’s woodcut New Year painting is the originator of Chinese woodblock New Year painting. It was born in Tokyo, the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty. Its technical foundation is engraving and printing. The objective conditions for its great development are the highly developed economy of the Northern Song Dynasty and the emerging market culture of Tokyo.Since the end of the Qing Dynasty,Zhuxian Town’s woodblock new year paintings have gradually lost their dominant position in the market. The sales of Zhuxian Town’s woodblock new year paintings are gradually decreasing. The reasons are as follows: one is the loss of the political and economic center of Yanliang City.It was because of the siltation of the river that Zhuxian Town lost its convenient transportation advantage.Third, the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression made the people unhappy. The fourth was the continuous flooding of the Yellow River. The fifth was the destruction of the "Cultural Revolution" after the 1960 s.The traditional Zhuxian Town woodcut New Year’s painting needs to be drawn through drawing, engraving template, manual watermarking, drying and drying, four steps, delicate carving techniques, strict production process and amazing paint making techniques, which make the Zhuxianzhen woodcut New Year paintings colorful.Artistic features of exaggerated shapes, rough lines, and full composition.Zhuxian Town’s woodcut New Year pictures are rich in subjects, including idols, opera stories, secular life and New Year paintings. They contain rich folk culture connotations. It is not only an important expression of the Spring Festival customs, but also a belief in the people. The function of cultivating norms shows the longing for the good people to live a good life. The traditional Zhuxian town woodcut New Year paintings are mainly family inheritance, and the children are the most important inheritance objects, and the skills are conservative.Under the influence of the modern and industrialized social environment, the complicated and boring production process and low economic benefits have gradually lost the traditional woodblock new year paintings, and the traditional wooden board painting techniques are in an endangered state. Its inheritance and protection have been valued by scholars and the government. The modern inheritance of Zhuxian Town’s woodcut New Year pictures mainly faces the following dilemmas: First, there are few inheritors and low cultural level;Second, the government’s relevant policy measures are not perfect;Third, the impact of modern culture and high technology makes it not available in the market.Competitiveness.In view of this, the author suggests that we should enrich the inheritance model and cultivate professional heirs;give play to the government to promote industrial development;enhance innovation awareness and form cultural brands.
