Hannah Arendt is one of the greatest and most original thinkers and philosophers of the twentieth century. Her theory of political action has always received much attention in the academic world. However, under the influence of totalitarianism in the capitalist industrial society in the twentieth century,a series of crises broke out in the field of political action. At the same time, when Arrent participated in the Eichmann trial,he also found that people were "thoughtless".So in the face of such a situation,Arendt decided to transfer the angle from the "vita activa" field to the "the life of the mind" field, and in the later years wrote a series of THE LIFE OF THE MIND works. This article is based on THE LIFE OF THE MIND:THINGKING,THE LIFE OF THE MIND:WILLING and other works to study the "the life of the mind" thought of Arendt's late period, expounding the background and overall content of this theory. And deeply explored the relationship between her late thought and its political action theory, and explored the theoretical value, limitations and contemporary significance of the idea.
