Rossetti's Influence On My Creation Of The "Hear The Flowers" Series Of Oil Paintings

Rossetti is an important member of the Pre-Raphaelite school.In the context of the Victorian industrial society,his works reflect the traditional painting style that is nostalgic for the distant middle ages.This style is delicate and prudent,with fresh colors,and his works are full of romantic,sad and aesthetic atmosphere.The "chivalry" in the middle ages encouraged the former painters to break through the shackles of public opinion and pursue their own artistic ideals.Rossetti's works are mostly made of women and flowers,and he is good at integrating poetry and painting,endowing oil paintings with a hazy poetic beauty and expressing his own fantasy dreams.His paintings are generally rich in idealism.In my graduation work,I learned from Rossetti's painting language,artistic aesthetics and ideas,and tried to use oil painting to express the poetic beauty of girls and flowers.Based on Rossetti's works,this paper is divided into four parts.Chapter one is the introduction.This paper expounds the origin of the oil painting series "hearing the flowers bloom",the current situation of the research on Pre-Raphaelite and Rossetti at home and abroad,the research methods and innovation points in the creation process.Chapter two elaborates on Rossetti's artistic creation.This paper analyzes the inheritance and rebellion of Rossetti's works against the Pre-Raphaelite school,and probes into the artistic style of Rossetti's obscure poetic beauty and feminist feelings in his paintings.The third chapter expounds the practice process of the oil painting series of "hearing the flowers bloom".From the four aspects of the choice of theme and material,the composition of the picture in the creation,the unity and distinction of the tone,and the exploration of the relationship between the bottom and the picture in the painting creation,this paper summarizes the process of my own creation practice and the influence of Rossetti on my own creation.The fourth chapter expounds the feeling of hearing the flowers bloom series of oil painting creation.The paper reflects on the reference and breakthrough of Rossetti's artistic thought in the process of creation.The key point is to highlight the connotation of "listening" in the works through the application of synaesthesia in the paintings,to achieve a high degree of unity between the content and the form,and to create a poetic beauty ofartistic conception.This paper is my practical research on Rossetti's paintings on women and flowers,as well as my perception of what I have learned and thought in my graduation creative practice.
