A Multi-angle Study Of The Construction "the X Is X"

In modern Chinese language,the construction of "Gai X jiu X" is a commonly used construction.This paper first investigated the characteristics of the construction,then discussed the motivation,mechanism and conceptual integration levels of the construction,and finally further demonstrated the motivation and independence of the construction of " Gai X jiu X ".First of all,this paper used the definition of the construction grammar theory to identify the construction of " Gai X jiu X ",and investigated and analyzed each component of the construction of " Gai X jiu X ".In this paper,the author combined qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis to analyze the phonetic,part-of-speech and semantic features of "X" in this construction in detail.Secondly,in this paper,the author mainly investigated and analyzed the construction of " Gai X jiu X " as a whole in three aspects: syntax,semantics and pragmatics,and summarized its features,and added the negative forms of the construction of " Gai X jiu X ".Then,the author in this paper studied the generation mechanism and motivation of the construction of " Gai X jiu X ",and includes four aspects: omission and contraction,reanalysis,concept integration and analogy mechanism;The motivation of this construction are the economic principle of language,people's social psychology and chunking.At the same time,it also induced and classified the conceptual integration hierarchy of the construct members.Finally,the author in this paper compared the construction of " Gai X jiu X " among the compound sentence "Yinggai...Jiu.......",contracted structures and the similar constructions,described and analyed their similarities and differences,so that we can obtain the motivation and uniqueness of the construction,which shown it has an irreplaceable position in the contemporary Chinese synchronic plane,which also shown the construction of " Gai X jiu X " has the motivation and independence.
