Akutagawa Ryunosuke is a famous Japanese short story writer. He is a well-known writer in the world. With his refined brushstrokes, cold writing style and profound humanitarian spirit,he has profoundly portrayed the “Ukiyo-e” picture of Japan's modern society. His novels have profound ideological themes and have carried out extremely sharp insights and performances on Japanese society from modern times to modern times.Akutagawa's creations are mainly historical novels and realistic novels.Historical novels mainly find their own literary themes from the classical world such as “The Story of the Past and Present”,showing the ugly and selfish nature of human beings, subverting and destroying the traditional values of modern society.Later,he gradually turned to the creation of realistic novels, starting directly from reality and expressing his views on the world and people.Whether it is a historical novel or a realistic novel,it reflects the modern thinking of Akutagawa.First of all,Akutagawa expressed his attachment to traditional society by praising traditional ethical relationships and traditional ethics, which gives his novels a strong cultural homesickness. On the one hand,in the historical period of collision and overlap between old and new societies,in the face of the great industrialization and urbanization of the whole society,Akutagawa chose to “attack the modern social system”,at the same time,he deeply attached to the humanity in traditional society. The good civilization of goodness and society not only calls for the return of tradition and oldness in traditional morality and human condition, but also resists modernization in terms of nature and environment, meaning that people and nature live in harmony;on the other hand,in the West Under the constant invasion of civilization,Akutagawa believes that only Japanese native culture can save the declining Japanese spiritual civilization. He is obsessed with the oriental tradition and deeply regrets the Japanese society that is gradually westernized by the influence of Western culture.Secondly,Akutagawa's novels have revealed deep and sarcasm to Japan that entered the capital society.First,in the capital world, the human spirit is extremely poor, the foundation of modern social life collapses, and extreme egoism pervades the whole society.Second, the comprehensive alienation between people, between people and society, between man and nature. The survival dilemma that people can't get rid of;Third, the existence state of the underlying individuals is fragmented, struggling in the world of human indifference, and the living conditions of ordinary people are sad and worthy of sympathy.Akutagawa complained about the indifference of human nature, and deeply explored the psychology of the people at the bottom, embodying the humanitarian spirit.Fourth, the entire human society is full of absurdity and agnosticism.People can't distinguish between true and false and troubled and confused for various reasons.Once again,Akutagawa's novel theme contains profound prophecies about the modern Japanese society.Akutagawa's prophecy of the alienated society is still applicable in the current society. After the war,the Japanese society has various contradictions, serious environmental pollution, and deepening the degree of alienation.Nowadays, they have entered a "low desire" society, and the nihilism of the whole society spreads to Japan. In all aspects,it has confirmed the "uneasy" of Akutagawa;Akutagawa's prediction of Japanese native civilization is more accurate. At present, the Japanese cultural industry is extremely prosperous, and the people cherish their own culture. All these confired Akutagawa's prophecy. In addition, history is like a cycle, from nothing to nothing, people's powerlessness and suspicion of desire are also in line with the mood of Akutagawa's late time.
