Painting and gardens have been closely related since ancient times.In ancient times,there were many examples of borrowing gardens for painting and gardening.It seems that the two often " helped each other" in the history of art development.In the history of art development,there have also been such brilliant achievements in garden painting as wu school.Since the garden theme entered the field of view of oil painting creation,oil painters have been assiduously exploring the resources of garden art and absorbing the nutrients therein.Borrowing scenery is an important landscaping technique in Chinese garden art."There is no reason to build a garden,and there is a reason to borrow a scene." "There is no reason to borrow a scene,and all emotions are touched." These words are not only the basic concept of garden art creation,but also seem to be the guiding light for the development of Chinese oil painting.In the process of nationalization or localization of oil painting,several generations of oil painters have carried out practical and theoretical exploration on landscape oil painting.People seem to feel or have found some similarities between Chinese and western paintings in the creation of landscape paintings.This article expands from the ontological concept of borrowing scenery to think about the creation of garden themes in the process of oil painting creation and development.These phenomena mainly include three aspects:first,to use the real landscape of garden art as creative materials,to use western landscape painting,to go to the garden,to face the real landscape of garden for sketching creation;The second is to draw lessons from Chinese garden art modelling technique and apply the composition methods of landscape division and borrowing to the creation.The third is to directly put aside the bigotry of oil painting materials and techniques and the stereotypes of oil painting creation,and integrate the different artistic spirits of eastern and western realism,freehand brushwork and so on,and even play pen and ink games or entertain themselves like Chinese literati painters.The author thinks that the development of our Chinese oil painting has seen an " export" here,taking the creation of garden theme oil painting as an entrance,breaking through the west,merging the tradition,and even drawing lessons from various artistic forms to create.In this sense,garden theme oil painting is a good " excuse".Therefore,the concept of " borrowing scenery" here adds the connotation of reference to its ontological concept.Therefore,this article makes a brief inquiry into the history of " mutual borrowing" between gardens and paintings,and makes a brief analysis of two cases:Wu Guanzhong,a contemporary oil painter,who was inspired by abstract beauty in garden forms and the practice of abstract works,and Sheng Meibing,who directly injected literati painting feelings into garden theme oil painting creation.Taking " borrowing scenery"," borrowing color","borrowing environment" and " borrowing pen" as the topics,the author summarizes his own creative experience,and specifically describes the inspiration and reference of the garden to my painting with respect to the creation of the author's " Fang",and discusses how to find a view in garden,what techniques to use,borrowing natural colors and the characteristics of using pen.
