A Study Of Verb-linking Sentences Based On The Interaction Between Lexical Semantics And Syntactic Semantics

As a special sentence pattern,the continuous verb sentence in modern Chinese has attracted the attention of many linguists since Zhao Yuanren first officially used it.Through reviewing the research results of related conjunctive sentences,it is found that previous studies on conjunctive sentences mainly focus on syntax and semantics,and seldom involve the relationship between lexicon and syntax of conjunctive sentences.Under the guidance of semantic grammar theory,this paper focuses on the interaction and restriction between lexical semantics and syntactic semantics of verb-linked sentences based on the annotated corpus,drawing on the syntax-semantic interface's vocabulary restriction on syntax and syntax's anti-restriction theory on vocabulary.This study not only provides a new way of thinking for the study of Chinese ontology,but also helps the processing of linguistic information in conjunctive sentences.According to the previous investigation on the scope of the definition of continuous sentences and the purpose of this research,we have strictly defined the continuous sentences in modern Chinese.On this basis,we determine the research object of this paper and establish the corresponding V1 Word List of Conjunctive Sentences,which consists of four categories of 17 verbs.There are 17 verbs in four categories,and 100 examples of sentences that meet the research conditions are selected in each verb term,and the syntactic and semantic category columns of the corpus are selected with reference to the Syntactic and Semantic Category Marker Set(Li Baojia,Sun Dagong 2011),to build "Labeled Corpus of Linked Sentences." At the same time,according to the Lexical Semantic Markers Collection(2689)and the Syntactic Category Semantic Markers Collection(76),the lexical and syntactic semantics of four types of conjunctive sentences V1 are analyzed,which provides theoretical support for the interaction restriction between lexical semantics and syntactic semantics in conjunctive sentences interface.At the level of restriction of lexical semantics on syntactic semantics,it is found that the lexical semantics has the underlying constraint on the combination of the syntactic structure,the combination framework and the role category syntax.First of all,the linked sentence V1 restricts the combined object in the linked sentence through the lexical meaning,especially the small difference in the lexical meaning of the synonym field directly leads to the difference of the specific combined object.Secondly,considering the linked sentence V2,the lexical semantic features of the verbs constrain the type of linked sentence combination framework,and a total of 181 small models of 726 patterns are formed.The combinatorial sentence combination framework presents complex and diverse characteristics,mainly because the V1 located in the synonymous field is restricted by the distinctive meaning,and the noun component is different from the strong system of co-occurrence.In addition,the lexical semantic features of verbs(including linked sentences V1 and V2)also have an impact on the type and frequency of appearance of outer characters,especially the outer characters in the pattern of meaning sequences,which generally show a high frequency of appearance.Finally,although there are many syntactic projection positions for the same semantic role,the lexical meanings of the verbs(including the linked sentences V1 and V2)are always subject to the projection of the prototype position,and there is a preference for the sequence difference in the syntactic projection.In the anti-constraint aspect of syntactic semantics on lexical semantics,this paper examines the semantic requirements of lexical semantics on the one hand.Specifically,the syntactic verb V1 syntactic category has a fixed vocabulary in terms of fixed metrics and vitality.On the other hand,the semantic changes that occur after the vocabulary enters the syntactic structure,mainly after the lexical unit enters the combined structure,are subject to the verb related components,the linked sentence V2,one or several of the semantic features of V1 vocabulary is highlighted,increased,decreased or transformed.Based on the corpus of annotation corpus,this paper studies the conjunction sentence based on the interaction restriction theory of lexical semantics and syntactic semantics,and finally constructs the vocabulary and syntactic interaction mechanism of linkage sentences.However,due to various limitations such as time,ability and corpus size,the research is relatively shallow,especially the counter-restriction of lexical grammar at the syntactic level is still relatively weak and needs further improvement.
