With the rapid development of knowledge stock and technology,modular design has not only become a common phenomenon in various fields of real life,but also plays a strong and lasting vitality in the theoretical system of different disciplines.In the first chapter,the development of contemporary household product industry in China is first introduced.In the case of the decline of traditional household industry,modular product design is applied to the design of household products.Correspondingly,under the trend of diversified market demand,how to apply modular space design to the commercial display space of household products is discussed.The main research objectives of this paper;secondly,the relevant theoretical literature at home and abroad are summarized and analyzed to grasp the theoretical basis to support the argument of this paper,combined with field research,multi-disciplinary system analysis and other research methods,to carry out research on the subject.The second part elaborates the concept of modular household products and their future development trend in detail,summarizes the characteristics of modular household products,and takes IKEA as an example to analyze the advantages of IKEA display space,so as to provide feasible theoretical and practical support for subsequent chapters.The third and fourth chapters of this paper are the key contents.Firstly,the concept of "space" for modular household product display is defined and analyzed,three space concepts of static space,dynamic space and virtual space in modular household product display space are put forward,and the methods,principles and elements of space design are discussed.Secondly,modular household product display for target base is carried out.The practice of space innovative design,after systematic analysis of the project,illustrates the difficulties faced in the process of space design and solutions.In the last chapter,the summary of modular household product display space design is discussed,the characteristics of modular household product display space are discussed,and the comparison and reference with modular household products are made in order to provide feasible theoretical support for future research and design practice in related fields.
