Hollywood is synonymous with the American film industry.It was the first to successfully step into the production of talkies,and it is also the production center of the global film industry and music.Warner Brothers,Disney,twentieth century fox,universal,Columbia pictures film brings together the big studios in Hollywood,the Hollywood has the world's top film production mode,dominate the production of the film and movie theaters and issue all over the world,around the world,Hollywood movie release of 60 ~ 90% advantage.Its development can be divided into the following periods: the silent film era(1890s to 1920s),the early sound era(1926-1934),the golden age(1935-1955),and the new Hollywood era(from about 1960 s to 1970 s and 1980s).This paper studies the development of early Hollywood talkies music from 1926 to 1934.The film music in this period plays an important role in connecting the past and the future.It retains the excellent soundtrack tradition in the silent film era and paves the way for the development of music in the golden age.Through the analysis of representative works of Hollywood early sound era theme music in the film,the application from the reference music to the transition of the original music,the narrative music and narrative music combined with case study,demonstrates the diversity of film music during this period,as well as some unique film music creation technique.The first chapter,pre-1926 Hollywood movies.The development and limitation of music are summarized.The second chapter,Hollywood films from 1926 to 1934.This paper analyzes the factors influencing the development of early sound film music,the application of music theme in the film music,the transformation from the quoted music to the original film music,and the narrative music and non-narrative music.Chapter three,the golden age films after 1934.This paper summarizes the establishment of the classical system of music and introduces the important film composers in the golden age.
