In his review and analysis of the book subject criticism by American scholar burisch, yao ji made a comprehensive review on re-symbolization:"re-symbolization is a deepening process based on symbols. The object of re-symbolization is feelings, experiences and thoughts in the form of language or other symbols, namely text.Re-symbolization is a process in which human beings constantly recognize things and give them new meanings. In this process, the content of rendering meanings is influenced by the class, knowledge, experience and perception of the givers, which produces different results and forms rich and diversified second-degree symbols. The re-symbolization in dance creation refers to the process of the director deepening the understanding of the original material and re-enunciating the meaning. The materials(symbols)collected in the field survey cannot be directly put on the stage. These symbols(texts)are endowed with meanings by the director according to his self-knowledge and the theme of the work, and the process of such meanings is influenced by the director’s background, education and experience, thus forming rich and diversified second-degree symbols. The choreographer makes an organic integration code of the second degree symbol after the endowed meaning, and finally forms the dance work to convey the creative intention. This paper systematically analyzes and expounds the re-symbolization and application of dance creation from three parts. In the first part, the author analyzes the re-symbolization and summarizes the evolution of re-symbolization of dance creation. In the second part, the author expounds in detail the ways of symbolization in dance creation and the perceptual and rational bias.In the third part, the author illustrates the application and influence of re-symbolization in the work by taking "my diaolou,my home" as an example.application and influence of re-symbolization in the work.
