Margaret Atwood is one of the most famous and influential female writers in the world literary circles. She has a strong sense of social responsibility, her works always involve hot issues in the real world, and her novels inspired readers to recognize the essence of society. With the advent of the post-human era, people's living conditions have changed dramatically.Atwood touched on this frontier in her four works “The Handmaid's Tale”,“Oryx and Crake”,“The year of the flood” and “Madd Addam”.These works focus on the difficulties that post-human society may face, what changes have taken place in the relationship between human beings and nature, science and technology, and how to reposition human beings in the post-human era,it shows Atwood's deep concern for the fate of mankind. This thesis consists of three parts: an introduction, four chapters and a conclusion. The introduction part introduces the purpose and significance of the topic,a literature review of Atwood's novels both at home and abroad, and finally discusses the origin, evolution and influence of the Posthumanism. In the main-body part,it first sorts out the post-human survival crisis in Atwood's works, which is divided into ecological crisis, social crisis and spiritual crisis. It can be seen that in the post-human survival dilemma, human beings are both the instigator and the victim. The second part explores the root causes of the post human crisis, combining the text with the Posthumanism theory, and exploring the impact of institution, science and technology, and consumerism on the post human situation. Then through the analysis of Atwood's works,we can summarize her approach to the post-human crisis, that is,to break the binary opposition between the sexes, man and nature, and to establish a new ethical in which all things live in harmony and interlink with each other. Finally,it affirms the value of Atwood's works, these works sounded the alarm for humans. It is of great significance to help us break through the shackles of anthropocentrism and meet the challenges of the post-human era.The concluding part summarizes the whole article.Atwood 's work is not just a post-human revelation. She hopes to use her work to lead us to reflect on the future development of humanity. If we stay awake, while holding hope and working together, perhaps we will be greeted by the best of all possible post-human worlds.
