Basic Research On Jiangxi Song And Yuan Epitaphs

This article is based on the basic arrangement and research of 347 epitaphs of Song and Yuan Dynasty which collected in the Museum Of Ethnic Cultures of Minzu University Of China.They were mostly collected from Jiangxi Province.With the unearthing of underground materials,the epitaph data has become an important object of academic research.However,the research on Song Yuan’s epitaph is still a weak link.Especially for the large number of low-level officials and civilian epitaphs unearthed in the Song and Yuan Dynasties,due to the limited records of traditional historical materials,the academic circles have not paid much attention,resulting in very little systematic collation and research.The basic data collated and researched in this article is a batch of relatively centralized and unified epitaph data,such as land,production year,users,etc.And there are a certain number of them,which can be regarded as a data group for overall collation research.This article summarizes the basic conditions of the tomb epitaphs such as the distribution,gender and identity of the epitaphs,and summarizes the shape and decoration characteristics of the epitaphs based on the times,hoping to understand and describe the epitaphs from this perspective The overall outlook in development and change.Then,the change in the format of the epitaph writing was counted in the form of a graph.Firstly,the trend of the epitaph’s production in terms of the epitaph’s signature and the relationship between the blogger and the author,book,seal,and engraver were analyzed.Variations in formulas further support this trend.Finally,through the content of the epitaph,tche spiritual world of the social group of epitaph users is discussed.Conclusion of this article:The burial sites of the epitaphs studied and arranged in this article are distributed in most of the states,army(roads,and prefectures)in today’s Jiangxi Province.In accordance with the development order of the Northern Song Dynasty,Southern Song Dynasty,and Yuan Dynasty,Jiangxi epitaphs have always been dominated by tablet-shaped epitaphs,among which the round-headed tablet-shaped epitaphs are most notable.The epitaphs are simple and rough,which shows that the local gentry and noble groups are not demanding and exquisite in the production of epitaphs.In terms of the writing format of the epitaph,the relationship between the epitaph writing from the Northern Song Dynasty to the Yuan Dynasty,the calligraphy,the seal seal,and the taboo,etc.,the epitaph inscription decreased and new phrases related to the inscription appeared and increased rapidly,showing obvious The trend of kinship and kinship is a direct reflection of the local gentry’s turbulent activity and economic distress at the turn of the dynasty.Finally,through the content of the epitaph,we explored the spiritual world of the Zhizhi,and found that Taoism thoughts have been continuously incorporated into the epitaph since the Southern Song Dynasty.Prosperity in your community.
