The purpose of this thesis is to explore the relationship between the visual legacy left by the American realistic painter Edward Hopper and his paintings.In the first chapter,first analyze the vocabulary and meaning in Hopper's realistic paintings,and from his personal experience of film noir and images of war-photography and other video media,to understand Hopper's concept and style of painting formation The second chapter continues the first chapter's analysis and theme of Hopper's rich and diverse painting characteristics to find "hopperesque" handwriting in the film,and tries to find the direct or indirect influence of the painter on film creation in order to understand In dynamic images,how do directors and cinematographers use Hopper's painting style to reflect the interaction between the character's heart and the times,and how to use Hopper's painting as a reference point as a film style inspiration or story motif?The third part is also based on the analysis and understanding of Hopper's paintings in Chapter one,will discuss the potential spiritual features of Hopper's early 20th-century American cultural manifestations in static photographic works,especially in the staged photography,how "hopperesque" becomes a creative style and reference for those artists...
