| The period from the Eastern Han Dynasty to the Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties was an important period in the history of the development of Chinese music.Luoyang,as the ancient capital of the Thirteen Dynasties,left a wealth of musical historical materials during this period,mainly including historical documents and cultural relics.These historical materials present in detail the development of Luoyang in court music,folk music,Buddhist music,and music exchange during the Eastern Han,Wei,Jin,and Northern and Southern Dynasties.During this period,Luoyang’s court music included Yayue and Yanyue.Yayue made a few innovations on the basis of inheriting the previous generation.Yanyue’s main content reflects the emergence of Qing Shang music in the Wei and Jin Dynasties.Folk music is mostly manifested in the form of ballad.Buddhist music in Luoyang experienced three stages of initial transmission,development and prosperity during this period.Music exchange has emerged in Central Asia,West Asia,South Asia and other countries during this period..At the same time,the development of Luoyang music during the Eastern Han,Cao Wei,Liang Jin,and Northern and Southern Dynasties also showed different characteristics of the times. |
