The Aesthetic Use Of Currency As A National Image Medium

Based on the key words of "national image media","currency" and "Aesthetics",this paper discusses and interprets the research of national image,media,currency culture and paper currency aesthetics respectively,using the methods of combination with practice,demonstration with examples and specific analysis,and takes the fifth set of RMB optimization design in 2019 as a case study;it also uses foreign excellent products for reference currency experience,to explore the possibility of currency shaping in the future national image media,including the possible direction of future paper currency culture.RMB goes hand in hand with national construction,reform and development which has gone through 70 years of glorious history.As the legal circulating currency of our country and also with its most vivid,direct and intuitive way,RMB accurately records the social and historical development,cultural and historical details,and national cultural essence of modern China from 1948 to now.It is a concentrated collection of modern China's national image.The five sets masterpieces of RMB art design carry the great leap of the Chinese nation from standing up and also becoming rich to strong.As the media of national image,RMB has a variety of practical artistic characteristics,artistic and cultural connotations,as well as the symbolic function of embodying national will: the first set of RMB design is mainly a natural realism with diversity theme and content such as farming,farm handcart,Longevity Hill and the Temple of Heaven as its elements;the second set of RMB design began to focus on the relationship between content and form,and gradually began to reflect the country political power with symbolic realism;the third set of RMB design uses steelworkers,pine and cypress,Yingshanhong and other natural plants as symbols of revolutionary spirit to interpret the appearance of hierarchy through rational realism;the fourth set of RMB began to design and use the historical realism method of large size picture portrait of people(including the portrait of great people)to interpret the spirit of the people in various industries in China vividly.The fifth set of RMB uses romanticism and realism to interpret the creation and expression of various styles of aesthetic essentials through the depiction of the historical development of the motherland,national unity,splendid mountains and rivers.With the world,nationality and artistry of RMB culture,the special media significance of national image is created.
