This paper holds that "the view of becoming a saint" is the core of Feng Youlan's new Neo Confucianism thought system,and "the view of becoming a saint" runs through his philosophy thought system all the time.This paper not only combs and expounds Feng Youlan's view of becoming a saint,but also analyzes and expounds his whole ideological system.The first part of the introduction describes the significance of the research on Feng Youlan's view of becoming a saint,and summarizes and compares the research on Feng Youlan's thought of becoming a saint in China.This paper mainly focuses on three parts: Feng Youlan's philosophy of life,the theory of life realm,the study of "the view of saints" and "the view of becoming saints".The first chapter defines the concept of "sage".By tracing the word "Saint" and its connotation,the development path of the thought of "Saint" is clarified.From the meaning of the word "Saint" in oracle bone inscriptions and early classics to the vigorous campaign of "creating saints" in the period of various schools of thought,from the song and Ming Dynasties to the study of Lu Wang's mind,the thought of "Saint" has gradually enriched and diversified,while the concept of "Saint" has been condensed,the path of "becoming saint" has also changed,from separation to fusion,from "saints are difficult to be" to "people are Yao and Shun","becoming saints" ” The degree of difficulty is also changing.The second chapter combs the development of Feng Youlan's idea of "becoming a saint" by combining his life experience and works.The development of Feng Youlan's philosophy of life,from "one outlook on life" to "six books of Zhenyuan Dynasty",from the initial study of Western learning to the return to the study of traditional Confucianism,from the differentiation of science and philosophy to the view of philosophy as human studies,has formed his specific thinking of returning to the way of internal saints and external kings.The third chapter analyzes the characteristics of the image of "sage" in Feng Youlan's philosophy system from many aspects,and makes a vertical comparison with the image of sage in ancient thoughts,highlighting the theoretical characteristics of "continue to talk".In his opinion,saints are not omniscient,they are not "talents",they are not limited by "talents",and they can transcend the difference of "talents" in realm.Saints have feelings and no self,saints are not "merciless and no desire",saints regard themselves as a member of the universe,and they lose the difference between things and me,and have the great feelings of the universe.The sage,who transcends death and destiny,is a philosophical man of life and death.He is not threatened by death and is free in spirit.The sage is a perfect combination of "extremely wise and mean".The fourth chapter systematically discusses the method and path of "becoming a saint" in Feng Youlan's ideological system.First of all,it expounds the necessity of "Xi Sheng",which is the fulfillment of human nature,sociality and cosmology.In terms of the practicality of "sanctification",the transcendence of saints is denied.It holds that sages can learn and reach,and holy regions are open toordinary people.And separate the "holy learning" from science and learning.In terms of methodology of "sanctification",it mainly focuses on realm theory and Kungfu theory.The four aspects of "natural realm","utilitarian realm","moral realm" and "heaven and earth realm" constitute a gradual way of sanctification through awareness.Kungfu theory emphasizes accumulation,which is an effort of respect and justice,and the role of awareness is the key.In terms of governance,Feng Youlan stressed that the sage did not need to do extra work,but still did the daily human relations.Only after he had some understanding,what he did had different meanings for him.These ideas make his thoughts have some dialogue and difference with Buddhism,Taoism and Neo Confucianism.In the last part,it briefly comments on the gain and loss of Feng Youlan's thought of "becoming a saint".Feng Youlan's thought of "becoming a saint" played a role at that time.In addition,in terms of academic innovation,he inherited the Neo Confucianism of song and Ming Dynasties,created a new Neo Confucianism and metaphysics,and opened up a new way of becoming a saint.Feng Youlan's thought is also adaptable to modern society,aiming to solve the problem of rationality of "sage" in modern society,and to a certain extent,to achieve the resolution of the distance between "sage","sage","Scholar" and "people".However,there are also some defects in his thought of "sanctification".The objective evaluation standard of "sanctification" is not obvious,and the practicality is not sufficient.
