"Encaustic painting" may sound a bit strange, but the birth of encaustic painting was earlier than the oil painting we are familiar with.It can be said that it is a traditional painting category in the West.We know that in the process of encaustic painting creation,it is very risky to find an artistic form and artistic way.On the way of creative innovation, the auther tried a variety of experimental expression methods in graduation creation. In the thesis, the author explored many techniques and styles of encaustic painting. It is expected to explore the art form that distinguishes from western encaustic painting. The key is to show the imagery of "artistic mood" in the context of Chinese aesthetics in terms of imagery, hazyness, and elegant. The so-called "artistic conception" is actually an aesthetic term that intuitively reflects the unique pursuit of the spiritual world of ancient Chinese art.Because the author's curiosity about ancient Chinese painting and encaustic painting combined with the knowledge,I explored the aesthetic tastet of contemporary encaustic painting. The full test is divided into four chapters. The first chapter introduces the main content and purpose. The second chapter focuses on the development of encaustic materials. The third chapter discusses the creative process of the series of encaustic paintings in the "Emergence of Essence" series. The fourth chapter, summarizes the practice of creation, and specifically expresses how to combine the expression and application of oriental aesthetic mood and western abstract painting. At the end,I summarize the full text, and look forward to interpreting the mood and atmosphere of oriental painting aesthetics with western contemporary elements in encaustic painting, and further explore its profound and strong artistic value.
