At present,reading comprehension is receiving more and more attention,and English reading classroom teaching has repeatedly become the focus of education reform in China.Therefore,the English for entrance exams has increased the proportion of scores on the comprehensive ability of reading.Comprehensive reading ability has become an important indicator of personal language proficiency even to a certain extent.For students,reading and reviewing are comprehensive skills such as logical analysis,judgment,and reasoning.They are also an important tool for them to obtain vocabulary,grammar,and language sense.Reading ability is one of the important elements for testing students' language ability.Therefore,analyzing the middle school entrance examination reading comprehension questions can help students grasp the middle school entrance examination reading comprehension.Validity is an important indicator of the validity of reading comprehension questions,and a prerequisite to ensure the reliability of reading test questions.The validity of the test affects whether the test paper measures the aspects examined in the outline.It is necessary to study the validity of reading content.In view of the importance of reading and validity,this article will take the English reading comprehension tests of Chongqing junior High School Entrance Examination 2014-2019 as the research object.According to Bachman's test task characteristic framework theory,it will be used in conjunction with the syllabus and the "Compulsory Education New Curriculum Standard(2011 Edition)".)"(Hereinafter referred to as the" New Curriculum Standard ")and the junior high school graduates ' academic and senior high school admissions examination instructions for reading requirements from setting,test rubrics,input,response and the relationship between the input and response five aspects to analyze and evaluate the characteristics and content validity of the English reading comprehension test for Chongqing middle school entrance examination.The research results show that the reading test of Chongqing middle school entrance examination from 2014 to 2019 has a high content validity,and the test content complies with the syllabus,the "New Curriculum Standard" and the examination instructions for reading.Specifically,the six years of reading comprehension questions show the following characteristics:(1)In general,the reading test format and test structure of Chongqing from 2014 to 2019 are relatively stable.(2)The reading comprehension questions for Chongqing middle school entrance examination satisfies the requirements of the outline and the new curriculum in terms of genre,topic,difficulty and length of the article.Read articles on a wide range of topics,topics that are rich,interesting,and authentic.(3)It covers almost four types of genres specified in the outline.(4)The length and difficulty are moderate.The reading skills also cover the skills required for the outline and the new curriculum.However,there are also cases where the genre is unevenly distributed,with excessive emphasis on the explanatory text.In view of this,based on the text research on the reading test,this article puts forward the following reference suggestions:(1)For the test designer,add simple personal letters,explanatory texts and other applied stylistic materials to broaden the reading style and enrich the diversity,balanced genre distribution.(2)For teachers,carefully study the teaching and testing courses in middle schools.At the same time,establish the concept of lifelong learning and pay attention to the latest curriculum standards.Second,English teachers need to encourage students to read different topics and broaden their horizons in different reading materials.(3)For students,strive to expand the scope of reading in daily English learning,strengthen the training of basic reading skills and consciously try to train reading skills.The test has a huge impact on students and teachers.Through the use of research tools such as questionnaires and interviews,this article also attempts to discuss the following questions: The English reading comprehension test of the senior high school entrance examination has a positive attitude in teaching,learning,and methods.It is also a negative backwash effect.The results of the study show that the English reading comprehension test of the senior high school entrance examination has a positive backwash effect on English teaching in the junior high school.The reading comprehension test of the senior high school entrance examination not only affects teachers 'teaching as a whole,but also affects teachers' teaching purposes,teaching attitudes and teaching methods.At the same time,it not only has a major impact on students 'learning as a whole,but also has an impact on students' learning objectives,learning methods and learning attitudes.In addition,its positive backwash function can promote the completion of teaching tasks,stimulate teachers' enthusiasm for teaching,improve students' enthusiasm for learning,expand students' horizons and improve their ability to solve practical problems.However,in order to improve the score and the college entrance rate,it also produces a negative backwash effect,which increases the pressure on teachers and students in the exam.Based on the above research results,the author finally put forward the following suggestions for reading teaching in junior high school English.Teachers should clarify the true teaching purpose when teaching and choose appropriate and effective teaching methods.
