Curriculum resources are the resources used by teachers in the teaching process,that is,the material,energy and information applied by teachers in the teaching process.Teaching efficiency and how to teach students to learn independently are closely related to curriculum resources.With the Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standards 2011(Hereinafter referred to as the Curriculum Standard)issued by the authority,the importance of English curriculum resources has become increasingly apparent.People have begun to realize that it is difficult to implement the new concepts of English teaching and the English curriculum standards without the support of sufficient English curriculum resources.Therefore,reasonable application and development of curriculum resources can lay a good foundation for the smooth implementation of the new curriculum.Its value is reflected in the promotion of school curriculum construction and the professional development of teachers,and it is conducive to the overall development of students and the transformation of learning methods.On the basis of the predecessors of the existing research results,with reference to the relevant requirement of course standard,this study uses classroom observation and questionnaire investigation to study the present situation of curriculum resources application and its influencing factors in some junior middle school English teaching classes in Fengjie county.The aim is to understand the application of curriculum resources.This thesis aims to explore the following questions: 1.Teachers’ and students’ understanding of the development and utilization of English curriculum resources;2.Teachers’ practical application of English curriculum resources;3.The reasons for the existing problems in the application of English curriculum resources in some middle schools in Fengjie.Through statistics and analysis,the main problems in the application of English curriculum resources in junior middle school are as follows : 1.Teachers do not understand the curriculum resources deeply;2.Teachers focus on the use of teaching materials resources,classroom teaching methods are single;3.Teachers lack the skills to use multimedia resources;4.Students do not participate in the development of curriculum resources;5.Schools neglect the management of curriculum resources.Finally,aiming at the main problems found in the study,this study puts forward the following suggestions : 1.improve teachers’ understanding of the importance of curriculum resources;2.use teaching materials resources scientifically;3.improve teachers’ ability of information-based teaching;4.encourage students to participate in the development of curriculum resources;5.strengthen school management of curriculum resources.Through this research,the author hopes to provide practical cases for the relevant research on curriculum resources,and also hopes to provide some valuable suggestions for the development and utilization of English curriculum resources in Fengjie to promote the development of English teaching in the region.
