This paper takes the monosyllable, disyllable words in the Tiantai dialect and the disyllables in the carriers as the research object. The methods of acoustic and perceptual experiments are used to study the tone system of the Tiantai dialect, the consonants of the disyllable words, and the accent of the disyllable words analysis and research, the word stress mainly search for the acoustic features in the normal stress and the contrastive stress of disyllable words. The paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, which mainly introduces the basic situation, investigation and experimental schemes of Tiantai dialect, reviews the related research by the predecessors, and puts forward the research purpose. The second to fourth chapters are the main content of the paper.Including the tone experiment, the tone sandhi experiment of Tiantai dialect, and experiment of acoustic features about the normal stress and the contrastive stress of disyllable words. The conclusions of the experiment are as follows:1)The tone: Zhejiang Tiantai dialect single word retains the ancient eight-tone system. The tone value of the monosyllable in this paper is summarized by the Z value method and the semitone method, which is different from the T value method used by the predecessors. The values are 53,33,523,313,55,25,5,35.The relationship between the duration of each tone is Yangping> Yinping> Yang Qu> Yin Qu> Yang Shang> Yin Shang> Yang Ru> Yin Ru.From the perspective of social variation, the trends of the tone types of different genders and age groups are basically the same.2)The tone sandhi of disyllable words: Tiantai dialect disyllable tone sandhi pattern is "pre-stress".In disyllable tone sandhi, the pitch of the back word is complete and decisive.Furthermore, the back word has a greater effect than the front word. There are two kinds of tonal coarticulation patterns in the disyllable words, including the leftto-right carryover effects as well as the right-to-left anticipatory effects.3)The normal stress and the contrastive stress of disyllable words: In terms of duration, the relative duration of the back syllable is generally longer than the front syllable, and when the back syllable is a voiced consonant, the syllable duration is longer. In terms of the pitch, the average pitch height value and the average pitch low value of the back syllable are larger than those of the front syllable, which is different from Mandarin, but the average syllable range of the back syllable is also wider than that of the front syllable.Compared with the normal stress, both two syllables' pitch range is wider in contrastive stress. The regularity of the intensity is weak and does not change with the pitch. The floating range in contrastive stress is significantly larger than normal stress.4)Disyllable words stress pattern perception: Disyllable words stress in the normal stress and in the sentence belong to the post-stress pattern.Disyllable words stress pattern in the sentence is affected by the duration and pitch. The influence of two factors, the effect of pitch is greater than duration.
