In 2017,Article 111 of the General Principles of Civil Law clearly stipulates that the law protects personal information security, however, this article is only a principled personal information protection rule.It does not legally give personal information a right appearance, nor does it make more detailed regulations on personal information protection, and lacks operability. In the context of big data, personal information is changing with each passing day,and the leakage situation is becoming more and more serious. The general protection regulations cannot provide comprehensive protection. In order to fully protect personal information,it is necessary to refine relevant protection regulations, establish a protection model, and build a systematic personal information protection system. This paper starts with type protection, discusses the types of personal information, and proposes relevant protection suggestions and measures.Personal information can be divided into direct personal information and indirect personal information, general personal information and sensitive personal information, special group personal information and general group personal information according to different standards. This is conducive to the realization of different types of personal information protection, targeted to different levels of legal protection,to avoid a "one size fits all" protection model,is conducive to the healthy development of the big data information market.China should learn from the relevant advanced legislation and protection experience of foreign countries, introduce a special personal information protection law, realize type differentiation, strictly protect sensitive personal information and special protection of special group personal information.
