Research On The "Three Evils" Movement In Wuzhi County, Pingyuan Province (1951-1952)

From December 1951 to May 1952,under the unified arrangement of the CPC Central Committee and guidance of the Pingyuan Provincial Party Committee and the Xinxiang Prefectural Committee,Wuzhi County launched a " Three Antis " campaign with the main three contents of fighting corruption,waste,and bureaucracy.Wuzhi County,for its high force in “fighting tigers” and remarkable results in return of stolen money,has received great concern as a star and model county by Mao Zedong and the CPC Central Committee.This paper takes the " Three Antis " campaign in Wuzhi County as the research topic,and mainly discusses the " Three Antis " campaign in Wuzhi County by using the archives of Wuzhi County Archives and related newspapers.It tries to reflect the true process of the " Three Antis " campaign in a county area,and through the solution of dissecting a “sparrow”--an analysis of a typical case,to seek to view the " Three Antis " campaign of the Pingyuan province and even the whole country.The introduction part mainly introduces the reason of selecting the topic and the research status of the " Three Antis " campaign.In addition to the introduction,the text is divided into three parts:The first part is the origin of the " Three Antis " campaign in Wuzhi County.This part will be accomplished from two perspectives of both the social and historical background view and the uniqueness of Wuzhi itself.In the aspect of social and historical background,the relations between the severe social and economic sit uation,the movement of resisting US aggression and aiding Korea,the movement of increasing production and saving and the decision of the CPC Central Committee to carry out the " Three Antis " campaign are explained.For uniqueness of itself,this paper discusses the influence of frequent corruption,the loss of state-owned assets and the right-leaning thought within the leading cadres of Wuzhi County on the " Three Antis " campaign in Wuzhi County.The second part,Wuzhi County,the development of the " Three Antis " campaign.The whole process of Wuzhi County’s " Three Antis " campaign can be attributed to four "fighting tiger" actions.After a short period of propaganda and mobilization,Wuzhi County’s " Three Antis " campaign entered the title of "fight ing tigers." For the former three times,the three goals were to "descend the mountain tiger","climb the mountain tiger","pull out the tiger nest,solve the huge case,catch the tiger of all sizes.".The fourth operation of " fighting tigers " aimed at t urning over stolen certificates,which also marked the end of the " Three Antis " campaign in Wuzhi County and began to turn to production and construction.The third part,the democratic construction after Wuzhi county’s " Three Antis " campaign.After the campaign,Wuzhi County entered the stage of democratic construction.In the stage of democratic construction,Wuzhi county has reexamined and investigated Party members,cadres and the masses who made mistakes before,and decided on a verdicts.At the same time,the " Three Antis " campaign during the miscarriage of wrongs and wrongs were retried and rejudged.After the " Three Antis " campaign,the economic construction of Wuzhi County and the construction of democracy and politics took on a new look.Of course,there are still some problems.This section is to summarize these lessons.
