Since 1962,South Korea has achieved industrialization in just over 20 years, and has become one of the "four little dragons in Asia".Along with the economic development, the social structure of South Korea began to change, the number and influence of the middle class continued to increase, and with the spread of democratic culture and ideas, the awareness of civil rights gradually awakened, the authoritarian system at that time was increasingly dissatisfied by people, and the social demands for democratic politics were increasingly strong. It is in this context that the democratic transformation of South Korea began in 1987,and the civil society also took shape. After more than 30 years of development,at present, its democratic system is stable and its democratic politics is in-depth development. At the same time, the strength of civil society departments is strong, there are many civil groups, active movements, more and more cooperation and interaction between civil society and the state, and its role and influence are growing, and its function is gradually improved. The formation and development of civil society disintegrates the authoritarian rule, maintains the interests of the common people, promotes the development and consolidation of the democratic system, and the development of democratic politics in turn provides the political guarantee for the further maturity of civil society. The political development of South Korea highlights the characteristics of mutual guarantee and promotion between the development of democratic politics and the growth of civil society.
