With the development of computer technology,people's ways of thinking and dealing with problems are also changing,especially after Professor Jeannette M.Wing gave her definition of "computational thinking" in the US Journal of Communications of the ACM.,computational thinking has attracted widespread attention at home and abroad.Domestically,in "Ordinary Senior High School Information Technology Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)",it explicitly states that computational thinking is one of the core literacy of information technology disciplines.However,traditionally,teachers often emphasize too much on program code compilation,ignoring problems.The solution to the computational thinking processes and methods contained in theguidance.The thematic teaching model emphasizes the creation of context,helps teachers develop core qualities of learners,and provides learners with favorable conditions for cultivating computational thinking in more complex situations and using computational thinking to solve problems.In addition,with the advancement of the educational informationization process,a wide variety of online teaching tools have received attention and welcome from teachers and students.The construction of multimedia network teaching environment has also laid a material foundation for theimplementation of thematic teaching.The purpose of this research is to construct a thematic teaching model,and then design and apply thematic teaching in the"Algorithm and Programming" module.This will provide reference for first-line teachers to implement thematic teaching in the information technology curriculum to train learners' computational thinking.Theoretically speaking,this research enriches and develops the thematic teaching model in the "algorithm and programming" module to cultivate learner's theoretical study of computational thinking,and provides a case for the design of theme-based teaching activities under the multimedia network environment.On the practical level,this research is based on the "Algorithm and Programming" module,and the theme-related content design and the display of learner's works are displayed.This can be used to implement the thematic teaching of information technology teachers under the multimedia network environment.Cultivate the learner's computational thinking to provide guidance for the practical process and method.The research course of the paper has about five stages,including literature research,model construction,teaching experiment,effect analysis,summary and reflection.In the literature research stage,the author analyzes the literature related to the thematic teaching model both at home and abroad by using the literature analysis method,summarizes the advantages of the thematic teaching model in curriculum teaching,and the current thematic teaching exists in the teaching design and implementation and problems.As a result,it was found that the lack of guidance in thinking processes and methods is one of the important factors that restrict the effectiveness of thematic teaching.Therefore,in the construction phase of the model,the author analyzes the support of the thematic teaching in the multimedia network environment,analyzes the current teaching situation of the "algorithm and program design" module,and analyzes the premise of the existing thematic teaching model and the teaching of domestic and international programming courses.Next,under the guidance of constructivism,activity teaching theory and other thoughts,a thematic teaching model was constructed,and the theme teaching process was designed based on the basic implementation steps of the thematic teaching.In the teaching experiment stage,the second grade students of high school were selected as the research object,and the thematic instructional design was carried out for some teaching contents of the elective module "Algorithm and Programming".Relying on the Extreme Domain e-learning software platform and the QQ platform in Xi'an senior middle school implements.In the effectiveness analysis stage,the author adopted quasi-experimental research methods to analyze the level of learner's computational thinking from the three dimensions of computational concepts,computational practices,and computational perspectives,and at the same time verify the effectiveness of the thematic teaching model.At the conclusion and reflection stage,the author combines the contents and results of student interviews and classroom observations to summarize the factors that influence the effectiveness of thematic teaching and provide relevant strategies accordingly.This study analyzes the effect of thematic teaching on the learner's computational thinking.The tools mainly include scientific questions,learner's programming,and computational perspectives questionnaires.The final conclusion is that in terms of computational concepts,questionnaires,interviews,and evaluations of works show that learners who participate in thematic teaching are significantly superior to the traditional teaching learners in terms of computational concepts and participate in thematic teaching.The understanding of computational concepts is clearer.In terms of computational practices,the results show that the ability of the learners to participate in thematic teaching is significantly better than that of the learners of traditional teaching.In terms of computational perspectives,the results show that learners who participate in thematic teaching are significantly higher than in the traditional teaching model.From the findings of the computational thinking,learners receive better results from thematic teaching than traditional teaching.
