From the past years’ academic level grade examination,simulated examination and students’ daily problem solving situation,the geographical comprehensive problems have been seriously scored.Geographic comprehensive problems have a high demand on students’ ability to solve problems.Improving their ability to solve problems has always been a common concern of students,teachers and society.Deepening the research on the errors in solving geography comprehensive problems of Senior Two students is of great significance to improve the efficiency of geography teaching and students’ geography examination scores.In this paper,questionnaire survey and statistical analysis are used to formulate the student’s question questionnaire,which is distributed in the second grade of five senior high schools in Shanghai.After recovery,the author makes a multi-dimensional analysis of the results of the paper and makes a preliminary judgment on the errors in solving the comprehensive questions of senior two students.The interview method is used to interview some senior two students to understand their mental process when they solve problems;then some senior high school teachers are interviewed to re-judge the errors and causes of senior two students’ comprehensive problem solving;combined with classroom observation method,through listening to exercises,reviews and new lessons of senior two,combined with the above three methods and theoretical research,the comprehensive understanding of senior two students can be achieved.Errors in problem solving and their causes.Through investigation and research,this paper concludes that the main problems of Shanghai Senior Two students in solving comprehensive questions are:(1)unclear geographical concepts;(2)confused spatial positioning;(3)inadequate ability to acquire geographical information;(4)incomplete knowledge structure,can not be deduced by consequences;(5)knowledge points of answers are piled up,without logic.And from the knowledge point level,students themselves level,teachers teaching level three directions to analyze the causes of the problem.Finally,according to the existing problems of Shanghai Senior Two students in solving comprehensive questions,the author puts forward corrective measures,including:(1)changing teaching methods,deepening the understanding of geographical concepts;(2)opening maps courses,strengthening the training of chart skills;(3)marking keywords,strengthening the extraction of text information;(4)drawing mind maps,building knowledge networks;(5)customizing mised problem sets,reflecting.Wrong problem solving.
