The study of learning progression has received more and more attention in the field of international education research and has become one of the hotspots of current research.Foreign studies on learning advancement have gradually shifted from theoretical design to practical application.In the field of science education in China,advanced research has also been tried,but there are relatively few studies on geography education.China’s new round of curriculum reform around core literacy is in full swing.One of the goals of its reform is to promote consistency between curriculum standards,teaching and evaluation.This also coincides with the original intention of learning advanced research.In-depth study of the knowledge system of geography and the application of learning advanced in practice have broad and far-reaching significance.On the basis of literature research,this paper analyzes the core concepts,learning advanced theory.SOLO level classification theory,explores the link points between the three,and through the combing of high school textbook concepts,the extraction of relevant content of geography curriculum documents at home and abroad.And teacher surveys to determine the four core concepts of the“weather and climate’’theme:"thermal circulation”,“barrier belt and climate","weather system","global climate change",and then reference to the level of SOLO classification theory Hierarchical performance,defining the level of learning advanced levels of the four core concepts,and sorting out the expected performance of different levels,and proposing learning advanced hypotheses.According to the expected performance of different levels,the concept test of“Weather and Climate" was developed.The 200 students of a senior high school in Hengyang City,Hunan Province were selected as the research objects,and the correctness and concentration of each topic were counted by quantitative analysis.Positioning to a specific advanced position,based on the evaluation results,the learning progress is revised.The conclusions are as follows:(1)"Thermal circulation" learning advanced:Level 1:It is known that the thermal circulation is the simplest form of tmospheric motion and has a unilateral understanding of the knowledge of thermal circulation.Level 2:Describes the thermal circulation mode under ideal onditions.Level 3:Explain several common thermal circulation formation processes.Level 4:Analyze the processes,applications,and effects of different forms of thermal circulation in different contexts.(2)"Weather system”learning advancedLevel 1:Know the definition and characteristics of weather systems such as fronts,cyclones and anticyclones,frontal cyclones.Level 2:Say the law of airflow movement of cyclone and anticyclone,and understand the model diagram of different weather conditions;understand the weather conditions under the control of cold front,warm front,cyclone and anti-cyclonic.Level 3:According to different weather system charts,determine the direction of motion of the cold front warm front,and the air movement of the cyclone anticyclone,and analyze different weather systems.Level 4:Say the weather conditions under the influence of different weather systems,and further explain the weather conditions related to fronts,cyclones and anticyclones that are common in life.(3)"Pneumatic wind belt and climate" learning advancedLevel 1:Understand the formation of a three-turn circulation of the air pressure belt,the wind belt,and the atmosphere.Level 2:Indicates the distribution position and properties of the air pressure belt and the wind belt,indicating its movement law.Level 3:Judging the characteristics of the climate under the influence of a single air pressure belt,understanding the effects of different pressure belts on the climate,and the climate types and climate characteristics.Level 4:Under different circumstances,based on the knowledge of the air pressure belt,the type and characteristics of the climate in a certain area can be inferred.(4)Advanced Learning in Global Climate ChangeLevel 1:Recognizing that the global climate is constantly changing and knowing the general trend of global climate change.Level 2:Understand the causes of global warming in modern times,including natural and human reasons.Level 3:Analyze the causes and possible impacts of global climate change and propose countermeasures.Level 4:Evaluate the impact of global climate change and propose appropriate control measures from different contexts.
