It is a extremely crucial mission for elementary school mathematics teaching to develop students' concept of space through the study of geometric content.Concept of space is a kind of ability that students are able to transform between two-dimensional and three-dimensional unconsciously,as well as the basis for human-beings to conduct innovation. The development of students 'concept of space is of great significance to the cultivation of students' innovative spirit and practical ability."Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2011 Edition)" puts the concept of space as a core quality, and clearly states that in the mathematics curriculum, the development of students' concept of space should be focused on.With the development of educational measurement theory, cognitive diagnostic evaluation theory has gradually penetrated into various subject areas.Through cognitive diagnostic tests,a deeper understanding of students' mastery can be gained, therefore, more valuable information for teaching can be provided. This research will use the well-founded tool of cognitive diagnostic evaluation theory to focus on the question of how to master the concept of space attributes of sixth grade primary school students and how to perfect their concept of space attributes master mode.Based on the concept of space of primary school students, the researcher puts forward the cognitive attributes and level relationships of the concept of space of primary school students, and verifies the rationality of the level relationships in the research.According to the requirements of cognitive diagnostic evaluation theory, prepare test papers and conduct prediction tests.Collect answering results, improve attribute hierarchy, optimize test papers, and conduct formal tests. The formal test results were analyzed based on the DINA model for primary school students' concept of space. The research contents are as follows:(1)Analyzed the cognitive characteristics of the sixth grade primary school students' concept of space, constructed a concept of space cognitive model, and determined the concept of space attributes and attribute hierarchy relationship;(2)Focusing on the cognitive model,a test paper of concept of space test with cognitive diagnosis function was compiled;(3)First conducted a small-scale prediction test, verified the rationality of the cognitive model, and then optimized and formed the final formal test paper;(4)Carried out a large-scale formal test, and made an in-depth analysis and summary of the answers from different angles;(5)On the one hand, take a class in the school as an example, delivered a class diagnosis report based on the results of the students in the class. The report was used as a starting point to propose remedial teaching suggestions for the class. On the other hand, according to the development status of the sixth grade primary school students' concept of space, daily teaching suggestions were put forward.Through this research,we can have a more in-depth and detailed understanding of the development level of the sixth grade primary school students'concept of space. In particular, the teachers of the testing class can get a more comprehensive understanding of the status of their class through the cognitive diagnostic test results.Thereby, teaching can be improved more targetedly. At present, there is no cognitive diagnosis research on primary school students'concept of space in the field of mathematics education. This research can provide a new perspective for the evaluation of concept of space.
