The Ministry of Education has issued the Standard of Chinese Curriculum in Senior High School(2017 Edition),which sets "the development and promotion of thinking" as one of the four core qualities of Chinese,and "speculative reading and expression" in 18 task groups.How to carry out the teaching activities of cultivating "speculative ability " ? There was no unanimous conclusion.Many front-line teachers only pay attention to the teaching of knowledge,not to the cultivation of thinking,this phenomenon is especially obvious in the teaching of novel reading.Therefore,the author takes the cultivation of speculative ability in high school novel reading teaching as the research topic,strives to improve the original teaching concept and teaching method,and realizes the goal of students' thinking development and promotion.This paper discusses the cultivation of students' speculative ability in high school novel reading teaching,which is based on the uniqueness of novel style and takes into account the learning situation of high school students.The author first identified the connotation of "speculative ability" in theory,and discussed the relationship between reading teaching in high school novels and the cultivation of speculative ability.It not only made clear the necessity of cultivating speculative ability from the realistic requirements of the development of the times,the Chinese core accomplishment advocating speculative thinking and the teaching choice under the reform of college entrance examination proposition,but also determined the feasibility of cultivating speculative ability from Piaget's theory of cognitive development stage and text reading theory.In the course of teaching practice and lectures,the author found that the current situation of the cultivation of speculative ability is not optimistic.By analyzing the classroom situation and sorting out the questionnaire,the author found that there are some problems in the current novel reading teaching,such as students' questioning ability,logical reasoning ability,text reading ability,and insufficient training of evaluation ability.This paper analyzes the root causes of the problems from the aspects of the lack of students' subjective consciousness,the lack of teachers' own quality,the imprisonment of traditional ideas,the objective educational reality and so on,and lays the foundation for putting forward targeted solutions strategies.Based on the above research,this paper tries to cultivate students' speculative ability from the following four aspects: first,to cultivate students' ability of questioning and questioning by creating a good classroom atmosphere,teachingquestioning methods,and cooperative inquiry between teachers and students;second,to cultivate students' logical reasoning ability by combing the plot of novel to understand the process of logical reasoning,analyzing argumentation problems must conform to objective facts and logical reality;third,to strengthen students' ability of reading text carefully by grasping the "key points" of the novel,language,context and "leaving white" in the text;The fourth is to guide students to pay attention to current affairs hot spots after class,to enhance their own awareness of comments,and to enhance students' ability to discuss and evaluate by combining reading and writing in class.
