Wireless LAN is a small-scale computer communication network based on wireless communication technology.It can also access mobile devices such as mobile phones and printers.It is widely used in daily life.The media access control(MAC)layer plays an important and key role at the same time as the core of the WLAN.Therefore,it wants the WLAN to increase the throughput of the system and reduce the transmission delay of the network,and improve and optimize the media access control layer.The mechanism has important significance and value for WLAN.In order to meet people's strong demand for wireless network performance characteristics,this paper mainly focuses on the related channel access mechanism in the core MAC layer of wireless LAN and the core algorithm in the channel access mechanism.The MAC layer protocol technology is emphatically analyzed,including the structure of the MAC layer and the protocol contents,as well as the DCF(Distributed Coordination Function)mechanism and CSMA/CA(Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Detection).Conflict Avoidance)The working principle of the protocol,through analyzing the influence of the MAC layer protocol technology on the data transmission efficiency of the wireless LAN,discusses the feasible way to improve the data transmission efficiency of the wireless LAN.First,the DCF and PCF(Point Coordination Function point coordination function)channel access mechanisms are compared and analyzed,and simulation experiments are performed.The advantages and disadvantages of these two mechanisms are analyzed and compared.On the one hand,the DCF mechanism of the MAC layer protocol technology is mainly analyzed.The BEB(Binary exponential backoff)backoff algorithm improves the traditional BEB backoff algorithm.Through simulation comparison,it is found that the improved algorithm has good adaptability at high loads,system throughput is significantly improved,and the transmission delay is significantly reduced.By improving the traditional backoff algorithm,the channel utilization efficiency of the wireless local area network is improved,thereby further increasing the data transmission rate.On the other hand,DCF was divided and improved on the site priority to obtain a new PDCF(Priority Distributed CoordinationFunction)mechanism.The system performance was analyzed theoretically and simulated.The results show that the new mechanism guarantees high priority sites.The prioritized data transmission verifies that the MAC layer protocol technology has a direct impact on the data transmission efficiency of the wireless LAN,and optimizes the collision detection and backoff algorithm to effectively improve the data transmission efficiency of the wireless LAN.
