Chinese enterprises are often long-term second movers,when they reach the maturity stage the market is already declining.In addition,Chinese enterprises have insufficient experiences on technological and business model innovation.It is difficult for Chinese enterprises to leave the strategic trap.Therefore how to achieve maintainable leader status on world market has received attention from entrepreneurs and scholars.In this paper,we study the research problem on how to maintain sustainable world market status for Chinese enterprises.We propose suggestions for Chinese enterprises in strategic traps during the maturity stage helping them achieve strategic transition.L group is a typical example of Chinese high-tech multinational company.Currently both the company and its market reached the maturity stage.The difficult situation L group is facing commercially and technologically is representative of many Chinese firms.There are many positive and negative factors behind L group's sustainable competence when it reaches the maturity stage.Especially in 2015,L group is facing the emergent strategic task of internet transformation.For a conventional firm,how to deal with transformation and fierce competition introduced by the internet business is an emergent task.L group's experiences and lessons on strategy.management and R&D during its difficult times serves as a model example for other Chinese companies.In this paper,by rich second-hand materials and long-term observation we do a case study on L Group.We point out that Chinese enterprises at the maturity stage face pressures of strategic transformation and upgrading,as well as technological catch-up.We draw the conclusion that learning by introduction and overcome strategic inertia is vital in maintaining Chinese enterprises' world market leader status.We give the following suggestions for Chinese enterprises:Pro-activity in absorption of technological innovation,maintenance of price competitiveness and well-built sales channels,more aggressive and lasting strategic maneuvers,focus on technological expertise accumulation and pro-activity in learning and absorption of new business and management models.
