Research On Trade Promotion Effects Of Foreign Technical Standards

In recent years,China’s export trade has developed rapidly,but it has also been seriously hampered by foreign technical standards.This paper takes China’s largest export product electromechanical products as an example to study the impact of foreign technical standards on its exports.As one of the largest export products in China,the export of mechanical and electrical products is of great and far-reaching significance to China’s export trade.Due to the level of technology of mechanical and electrical products export Chinese is low,vulnerable to foreign technical standards,regulations,has become an important barrier Chinese of electromechanical products trade.So how to deal with foreign technical standards and find a new breakthrough in trade growth has become an urgent problem to be solved.According to this reality,the present research mainly focuses on the trade effect of total exports from the level and study of foreign technical standards of trade restrictions,and less from the marginal level to explore the influence of foreign trade and technical standard of internal influence mechanism analysis.Therefore,the basic idea of this paper is to combine theoretical and empirical methods to study the trade promotion effect of foreign technology standards and its influencing mechanism.The theoretical level,the transformation structure of the theory of comparative advantage and absolute advantage theory,explains the foreign technical standard measures on the export of electromechanical products Chinese positive effect,and from the perspective of demand and supply analysis of heterogeneous enterprise production quality to determine export decision.Empirically,the multilateral trade effect of firm heterogeneity and marginal model from the total exports of electromechanical products in the levels of foreign technical standards under the constraints,and by regression quantitative inverse method of quality index,calculating the effect of foreign technical standards of strength in China’s export products quality.The regression results show that:(1)the foreign technical standards constraints,Chinese significantly promoting effect of the export of electromechanical products in total,the intensive margin,marginal expansion level.(2)the quality of export mechanical and electrical products is also greatly improved due to the establishment of foreign technical standards.(3)in the country groupings,the export of electromechanical products in OECD countries showed significant trade promotion effect,and the export of electromechanical products quality was also significantly positive;while the export of non OECD countries only have a significant positive effect on the total trade volume and the intensive margin level.Therefore,we believe that foreign technology standards through the export of mechanical and electrical products to improve quality,and thus promote the effect of trade.This paper breaks through the traditional technical standards barriers to the negative effect from the angle of conclusion two yuan marginal effect,from the empirical level shows the positive effect of technical standard measures,so as to effectively deal with the transformation of foreign technical standards and measures Chinese comprehensively promote the upgrading of the manufacturing industry to provide theoretical support.
