Reviewing the development process of universal life insurance in China,since 2000 Ping An Insurance launched the first universal life insurance,it has experienced rapid growth in revenue and market share.But we can see that since 2015 many domestic small and medium-sized insurance companies with universal life insurance absorbed funds as the main capital,then frequently mergered and acquisited listed companies on large-scale which caused the shock of the capital market and the impact on the real economy.Among many negative events of the process,dispute over the control right of Vanke,Hengda life short-term operation of many listed corporations,collective resignation of CSG group management are typical.It raised a huge amount of money for insurance companies,risks behind brought great challenges to the current development especially after series of radical investment,so the call for strict regulation is also growing.Therefore,the systemic risk behind the rapid development is worthy of vigilance.Based on this background,it is necessary to make a systematic analysis of the overall development process of universal life insurance.Make clear the origin,product development and regulatory changes,product classification,market size and structural changes,asset allocation changes,especially the event of insurance companies merging and acquisiting listed corporations.Through the perspective of dynamic development,this paper points out the problems,give us a relatively clear and comprehensive understanding,then summed up experiences and discussed suggestions to promote the sustained and healthy development of the market in the future.
