The international vertical specialization that emerged in the second half of the 20 th century has made the production process more fragmented. This is a refinement of division of work and a manifestation of a more global allocation of resources.China’s information industry has taken advantage of this trend and actively participated in the vertical specialization.40 years of reform and opening up have passed.A new batch of developing countries have learned from China’s historical development experience and participated in the international vertical specialization system with similar resource endowments.By contrast, some traditional comparative advantages in China are weakening. Therefore,it is necessary to study the long-term equilibrium relationship between China’s information industry and what influence it,Based on the factors, study what kind of development characteristics of China’s information industry participating in the growth phase of international vertical specialization. This paper firstly combs the domestic and foreign scholars’ research on the vertical specialization, and puts forward the research purpose and method.Secondly,it conducts relevant descriptive statistical analysis on the development of China’s information industry.Using HIY to calculate vertical specialization, selects five departments from the OECD input-output table as the overall representative of China’s information industry, and calculates the level of international vertical specialization of China’s information industry. Then, the factor hypothesis that affects the information industry’s participation in the international vertical specialization are proposed, and the cointegration test is carried out. Finally, the Pearl model is used to describe and divide the growth stage of China’s information industry to participate in the international vertical specialization, and briefly describe the development characteristics of China’s information industry participating in the international vertical specialization.Through research,it is concluded that the expansion of the scale of information industry, the inflow of foreign direct investment and the increase of R&D investment will bring positive marginal effects to the vertical specialization of China’s information industry, and the increase in labor costs will significantly inhibit China’s vertical specialization.Affected by these factors,China’s information industry vertical specialization presents a significant S-type characteristic. At present,China’s information industry vertical specialization is in the early stage of maturity, and the economies of scale and the characteristics of the secondary school are not as significant as the growth period. Finally,it puts forward relevant suggestions. It is believed that in the increasingly uncertain international trade environment, for the sustainable development of the economy and the cultivation and consolidation of the country’s competitive advantage,China’s information industry,as a key part of the national economy, should continue to increase R&D investment.Improve the quality of foreign investment, that two-pronged is used to keep, digestion andinnovation.Further expand the scale of the information industry, strengthen the spillover effect of the information industry and the synergy between industrial clusters.Intensify the internal competition of the industry,so that the low-end processing links gradually withdraw from the historical stage, prompting China to advance to a higher value chain. At the same time,in order to cope with the rising labor costs,China should start to improve the overall quality of the workforce and strengthen investment in education to enhance the control of the global value chain of the information industry. |
