As the concept of employment changes,managers start to think more about diversified incentives to improve employee performance.The fast-paced life leads to an unconscious intersection of employee's work and family roles,so that the conflict between work and family affects their performance at work to some degree.Family supportive supervisor behaviors can enhance employee's satisfaction,and this positive effect is achieved through work-family enrichment(Jiang et al.,2016).Therefore,starting from the relevant variables of the work-family interface to improve employee's job performance has become a new breakthrough in the theoretical and management practice.When it comes to the dual identity of employees' work and family,it is necessary to consider the differences between individuals with different identities salience.Wang et al.,(2013)combined with Chinese background considered that,the identity salience type of employees can be divided into work-family balance,work bias,family bias and work-family neglect,and identity salience can regulate the relationship between job requirements and work-family conflicts.Therefore,it is necessary to discuss specific support strategies based on different identity salience employees.A large number of studies have shown that there is a significant positive relationship between family supportive supervisor behavior and job performance,and this kind of family support behavior is a “win-win” effect for both enterprises and employees(Qiu,2016).However,few study in China or abroad discusses the specific mechanism of family supportive supervisor behavior on job performance from the perspective of work-family enrichment.And in the context of Chinese culture,individuals may pay more attention on family.Therefore,consider the influence of family identity salience into the relationship between family supportive supervisor and work-family enrichment,not only consist with Chinese situation,but also rich the overall theoretical framework.This study use the method of questionnaire investigation to collect data,in order to ensure the feasibility of the questionnaire,a small-scale pre-study was first carried out.In the formal investigation,636 questionnaires were collected,and 588 were valid ones.This study use SPSS 24.0 and Mplus 8.1 for data analysis,the conclusions are as follows:(1)Both family supportive supervisor behavior and work-family enrichment have a significant positive impact on job performance.(2)Both dimension of work-family enrichment have a partial mediation between family supportive supervisor behavior and job performance.Specifically,the family supportive supervisor behavior acquired by employees enhances the level of mutual enrichment between employee's work and family,which in turn leads to an increase in employee's job performance.(3)Family identity salience plays a positive role in the relationship between family supportive supervisor behavior and both dimension of work-family enrichment.Specifically,the higher the family identity salience is,the stronger the positive impact of family supportive supervisor behavior on work-family enrichment.The theoretical contributions of this study are as follows:(1)Analyze the mediating role of the two dimensions of work-family enrichment in the relationships between family supportive supervisor behavior and job performance,which enrich the path of this affection.(2)Explore the influence of family supportive supervisor behavior on both dimensions of work-family enrichment,and identify the regulatory role of family identity salience.(3)Integrate the theoretical framework between family supportive supervisor behavior and job performance,enrich the content of existing research.The management implications of this study are:(1)Managers can increase employee's job performance by improving employee's work-family relationship,so that can adjust employee's mood and motivation at work.The supervisor,as the closest individual with employees at work,their family supportive behaviors are important factors for employees to internalize outside resources,and thus effectively improve the level of employee's work-family enrichment.(2)Managers need to pay attention to the characteristics of different individuals when they implement organizational care and support.For employees with high family identity salience,strengthening family supportive supervisor behavior is an effective method to improve employee's job performance.However,for employees with low family identity salience,only pay attention to the relationship between employee's work and family,may not be obvious on improving employee's job performance.
