With the joint efforts of various countries and international organizations, financial inclusion has been transformed from ideas into actions and has become an emerging research direction in the field of financial development. In China, most scholars use China or the East,Central and West regions as a research perspective to conduct in-depth research on the factors affecting financial inclusion, convergence and the relationship between economic growth, poverty alleviation and urban-rural income gap.The particularity of the natural environment has led to the imperfect development of financial infrastructure such as transportation and network in the region, the inefficient allocation of financial resources, and the existence of more financial services blank areas, which to some extent also affect the economic and social development of the region..Then,is the mechanism of financial inclusion in China and the eastern, central and western regions equally suitable for the Southwest? Can the improvement of financial inclusion in the Southwest have a positive impact on the economic and social development of the region? Based on the data from 2007-2016 in southwest China(Chongqing,Sichuan,Guizhou,Guangxi,Yunnan, and Tibet),this paper uses spatial econometric analysis methods to influence the financial inclusion in the southwestern region of China, its convergence, and economic growth with the region. The relationship between poverty alleviation and urban-rural income disparity was studied in an attempt to answer the above questions. This paper analyzes the development and effects of financial inclusion in Southwest China according to the questions, theoretical analysis, current situation analysis, empirical analysis and countermeasures.First, combing relevant literature at home and abroad to summarize the existing research conclusions on financial inclusion issues.Secondly, the status quo of financial services in the southwest of China is reflected in the status quo of financial services and financial inclusion index.Among them, the former includes the permeability and effectiveness of financial services;the latter uses the coefficient of variation method to determine the weight of indicators, and the antiEuclidean distance formula measures the level of financial inclusion. The study suggests that the financial inclusion level in southwestern China is generally rising.Trends, but there are provincial differences. In addition, through spatial correlation test, there is a significant positive correlation between financial inclusion in Southwest China.Thirdly, through the spatial econometric model, the factors affecting the financial inclusion in Southwest China, the convergence and the relationship with economic growth, poverty alleviation and urban-rural income gap are empirically analyzed. Finally, based on the results of empirical analysis, from the perspective of financial institutions and financial regulatory agencies, the paper proposes relevant countermeasures and suggestions on how to improve the financial inclusion level in Southwest China.Through spatial econometric analysis, this paper finds that: First, the financial inclusion level of a province in southwestern China is not only significantly affected by the per capita GDP,Internet penetration rate, road density and employment rate of the region, but also by the per capita areas of neighboring provinces.Gross domestic product,urban-rural income gap,Internet penetration rate, road density, employment rate and financial system innovation;Second, financial inclusion in southwestern China has ? convergence,? absolute convergence and ?-conditional convergence, indicating six provinces in southwest China. The inter-provincial differences in financial inclusion are gradually decreasing, and will eventually stabilize in the same development path.Third,The relationship between the financial inclusion index of a province and neighboring provinces in Southwest China and the economic growth of the region is a U-shaped curve with an upward trend.Currently, except for Chongqing, the financial inclusion indices of the other five provinces are located in the curve. On the left side,it indicates that at this stage, efforts should be made to improve the financial inclusion level of the relevant provinces in the Southwest,so as to achieve financial inclusion to promote regional economic growth;fourth,a province in southwestern China There is a significant negative correlation between the financial inclusion index of the neighboring provinces and the poverty rate in the region.Department, indicating that upgrading the financial inclusion level in the southwest region is conducive to reducing the poverty rate.Fifth, the relationship between the financial inclusion index of a province and neighboring provinces in southwest China and the urban-rural income gap in the region is presented as an open U-shaped Curves, and in addition to Chongqing, the promotion of financial inclusion levels in Sichuan,Guizhou,Guangxi,Yunnan and Tibet is conducive to narrowing the urban-rural income gap in the region.
