The emergence and spread of the subprime mortgage crisis have fully exposed many problems in the US financial regulatory system.In the financial supervision system at that time,the financial regulatory agencies in the United States could not properly respond to the crisis,supplement regulatory loopholes,and prevent major risks,especially financial systemic risks,by virtue of the functions conferred by the supervision bill.To this end,the United States made in-depth reforms on the problems of the financial regulatory system after the crisis.The reforms were mainly embodied in the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.The promulgation of the above-mentioned bills and the subsequent implementation of a series of financial regulatory reform measures are of great significance for the reshaping of the entire financial system in the United States,and also have great reference value and inspiration for financial regulatory reforms in other countries.Based on the subprime mortgage crisis,this paper studies the post-crisis US financial regulatory reform.The main content of the article can be roughly divided into four parts: First,the background and motivation of the US financial regulatory reform.This part first analyzes the background of the US financial regulatory reform,and then from the three perspectives of financial regulatory laws and regulations,financial institutions' own risk control,and financial regulatory institutions' execution,expounds the motivation of US financial regulatory reform.The second is the main measures for financial regulatory reform in the United States.In this part,according to the direct target of reform,the main measures of the US financial regulatory reform are summarized into three parts,namely,adjusting the structure and functions of financial regulatory institutions,strengthening the supervision of financial institutions and financial services,and strengthening the protection of financial consumers and investors' rights and interests.Then,each part will specify the main measures of the US financial regulatory reform.The third is the evaluation of the effects of financial regulatory reform in the United States.This part evaluates and analyzes the US financial regulatory reform after the crisis from two aspects: the effectiveness andlimitations of the reform.The fourth is the enlightenment of the US financial regulatory reform on China.This part first explains the current situation of China's financial supervision and the main problems,and then based on the US financial regulatory reform,put forward some reform ideas and suggestions for the main problems of China's financial regulation.
