With the advancement of technology and the improvement of people’s living standards,electronic product,as a daily necessity,is upgrading rapidly,and the number of waste electronic products is increasing.Reasonable disposal or recycling of electronic products can not only reduce environmental pollution but also save resources.Undergraduates,as one of the main force in current electronic products consumption,have the high demand for electronic products and high speed of replacing.As a result,understanding undergraduates’ recycling attitude and behavior and exploring the key factors that affect their behavior are beneficial to propose the corresponding promotion measures for behavior,which has great significance in improving the utilization rate of waste and reduce environmental pollution.On the basis of literature analysis and in-depth interview and based on the Theory of Reasoned Action,Theory of Planned Behavior and Theory of ABC,the research compiles the questionnaires of the influencing factors of undergraduates’ recycling behavior of waste electronic products and purchasing behavior of second-hand electronic products.Taking undergraduates enrolled in six colleges as participants by one-on-one investigation,the research constructs a theoretical model of undergraduates’ recycling and purchasing behavior of waste electronic products and tests,then confirms how and how much the factors affect the behavior or the behavior intention.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The questionnaires of the influencing factors of undergraduates’ recycling behavior of waste electronic products and purchasing behavior of second-hand electronic products have high reliability and validity.The former questionnaire contains seven dimensions that are behavioral attitude,perceived behavior control,subjective norm,information publicity,recycling convenience,information security and law and policy.The latter questionnaire contains eight dimensions that are behavioral attitude,subjective norm,self-efficacy,trust factors,product quality,location and environment,service specification and information publicity.(2)In the model of recycling behavior of waste electronic products,internal factors have a significant impact on behavioral intention and behavior.Behavioral attitude is the most influential factor,followed by subjective norm;perceived behavior control only has a significant effect on behavior.Behavioral intention and external situational factors play an intermediary role between internal factors and behavior,among which behavioral attitude has the largest indirect effect on behavior,followed by subjective norm and perceived behavior control.(3)In the model of purchasing behavior of second-hand electronic products,internal factors and external situational factors have a significant impact on behavioral intention,among which product quality has the largest impact,followed by subjective norm,service specification,behavioral attitude and trust factors;self-efficacy only has a significant effect on behavior.Behavioral intention plays an intermediary role between influencing factors and behavior,among which product quality has the largest indirect effect on behavior,followed by subjective norm,service specification,behavioral attitude and trust factors.(4)Gender and experience have significant differences in the recycling behavior or behavioral intention of electronic products.In terms of the recycling behavior of waste electronic products,females or undergraduates with recycling experience have stronger behavioral intention.In terms of the purchasing behavior of second-hand electronic products,males have more behavior buy and undergraduates with purchasing experience have stronger behavioral intention.(5)Undergraduates have a high awareness of recycling waste electronic products,but the weakness of external situational factors restricts the transformation from consciousness to behavior.External situational factors rank by importance as: information security > recycling convenience > legal and policy > information publicity.(6)Compared with the recycling behavior,the behavior and behavioral intention level of purchasing second-hand electronic products are relatively low,and the degree of understanding of second-hand electronic products is not high,and they hold a distrustful attitude.External situational factors rank by importance as: service specification > product quality > location and environment > information publicity.Based on the above research results,this research puts forward corresponding suggestions and measures for different recycling behaviors.The promotion of recycling the waste electronic products should pay attention to the improvement of external situational factors and the promotion of purchasing second-hand electronic products should focus on the improvement of environmental awareness and purchasing intention.
